Step-by-Step: 33 Balloons
Submitted by: Scrapbook.com
Article courtesy Scrapjazz; by Polly McMillan

I thought using a number as the main element of the title for this layout was appropriate as the photo is full of balloons! This fun party photo is such a good example of how kids can make their own fun. Lauren had a puppy-themed birthday party and the kids had a fun idea to see how many balloons it would take to make an inflatable puppy float. The exact number is 33! The photo called for fun and colorful products to complement it.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Trim green paper to 8 ½" x 11" and use a black pen to outline the edge of the paper.
  2. Cut the white patterned square from the We R Memory Keepers paper, use the black pen to make a stitch line around the edge and adhere it to the lower right corner of the layout.
  3. Mount scallop-edge paper in the upper left corner of the layout.
  4. Adhere the photo to the layout leaving enough room in the upper corner of the paper to place your title.
  5. Attach number and felt embellishments.
  6. Make journal strips using index cards, outline them with black pen, write your journaling and adhere the strips to the layout.
  7. Use the label maker for any other information you might want to include and place the labels in the lower left corner of the layout.

When creating your next layout, challenge yourself to use a number as your main title element instead of a word. I guarantee it will be "2" cute and you will be smiling "4" days!
