Product Review: Pink Paislee
Submitted by: Scrapbook.com
Article courtesy Scrapjazz.com; by Julia Sandvoss

Pink Paislee is a new company that has just taken off with a bang! You can read about the owners and how the company started in my "10 Questions with Pink Paislee" article. Pink Paislee premiered their first lines at January CHA 2008, and have been quite a hit since!

Pink Paislee started with two paper collections: Office Lingo and Spring Fling. They also released alphabet stickers and a slew of acrylic stamps. Here is some more information about those products.

Office Lingo has fun graphic prints, dots, circles, stripes, pink damask and the oh-so-fun "Outside the Box" diecut paper that have the leftovers you will crave to use! The colors of pinks, oranges, aqua and green work with just about everything.

Spring Fling is filled with flowers, trees, birds, stripes, and polka dots along with beautiful colors of red, cream and aquas. The ever-so-beautiful "Green Lace Paper" is one every scrapper must add to their collection. It's truly a unique paper. The tree transparency is so cute that I haven't given in and used mine. But I will...I think! Diecut Sheets that coordinate with both lines are a must-have. The diecuts themselves are unique shapes and have fun quotes and phrases too.

Alphabet Stickers, called Holly Doodle, come in an array of eight fun colors. I love the casual font. It'sa nice touch that they also include numbers.

Acrylic Stamps from Pink Paislee are plentiful enough to make me one happy stamper! Pink Paislee released individual as well as themed stamp sets, each one better than the next! I'll confess, I've used a fair number of acrylic stamps and not all of them with happy results. 1_166I'm pleased to say I've used Pink Paislee stamps and give them a thumbs up! Excellent imaging and clear, crisp results definitely win me over, not to mention the designs that are vintage-chic.

For this layout I used their Office Lingo paper collection, the Office Lingo Diecuts and the white Holly Doodle alphabet stickers (inked with Colorbox Charcoal Inks to darken the number 16). The Office Lingo line is so versatile with its aqua, orange, green and pink color combination. I chose to work with some recent photos of my hubby and me to highlight our 16-year Anniversary.

2_119I used the orange diecut bracket and cut that in half for added interest under the photos. I also added pink Stickles to the diecut heart's polka dots for some added glitter!

For the card I wanted to work with their adorable Spring Fling stamp set.

I combined the Spring Fling stamps with the Office Lingo collection. I used the tear-off portion of the paper from the "Out of the Box" paper for the orange border. For the bird, once I stamped it, I cut it out, then softly inked over the top of it with Colorbox Chalk Inks. I then added turquoise jewels and some Stickles in Cotton Candy pink to finish it off.
