Product Review: Sizzix Scallop Dies
For years now Sizzix has been a leader in the scrapbooking industry. They are a name we all know, and their quality has never been anything but top notch, in my opinion. I was very excited to see their new line of scallop-shaped dies hit the market.
These jumbo-sized dies are amazing! They cut through the thickest cardstock like it was butter, and the edges are so crisp!
These new dies also feature a clear acrylic back so you can easily get the perfect placement, and a convenient finger hole to help pop your shape out once you've cut it.
At the Scrapbook.com Superstore you'll find the following shapes available:
Ranging in price from $19.99 to just over $30.00, these dies are an exceptional value. Think of all the great projects you can complete with these guys: mini books, banners, gift bags and tags, scrapbook layouts, greeting cards and home décor projects to name a few!
Here is a sweet little project I recently made that used one of my new favorite Sizzix dies.
- die - Sizzix, Scallop Square
- journal page - Making Memories
- crystal heart - BasicGrey
- mini letters - Making Memories
- metal butterfly charm
This is a nice quick layout featuring my girls. This Sizzix die was perfect to use as a decorative element.
- die - Sizzix, Scallop Circle
- cardstock - Bazzill
- patterned paper - Die Cuts With a View
- chipboard letters - Bo Bunny Press, Chunky Chips, Denim
- mini calendar page, and where ticket - Jenni Bowlin Studios
- white gel pen - Uniball Signo
Between the ease of use, and the sturdy quality of these dies I think you'll be really happy if you pick a few of them up to try. Beware though... once you start collecting them you're going to fall in love and want them all!
