Step-by-Step: Our School Photos...Gone Bad
Submitted by: Scrapbook.com

Article Courtesy Scrapjazz.com: by Julia Sandvoss

It's that time of the year again--time for back to school! Time to buy school supplies, clothes, notebooks, backpacks, shoes and so much more! Each year before the kids leave for the first day of school I have them sit for pictures on our entry hall steps. It's become a tradition now. The kids smile for their pictures and then they hold up the number of fingers for the grade they are starting. I like this as each year it's easy to see their changes, growth and more. But what I love most is what usually happens when I sit my three kids down in a small space and ask them to pose for the camera.  Silliness abounds and to me, those are the best pictures of the lot!!

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Ink the edges of the Calypso Bloom paper with ColorBox Warm Green ink.
  2. Next cut a 7 ¼" x 12" piece from the new Bo Bunny Tis the Season Carole polka dot paper. Use the EK Success Binding Edge Punch along the bottom edge of the Tis the Season paper. Then lightly ink the edges with ColorBox Robin's Egg Blue ink. Adhere tothe   background paper.
  3. Then cut out a piece of paper from the new Bo Bunny Delilah Bloom paper, measuring 6 ½" x 12".  Ink the edges with Color Box Pink ink. Then adhere it to the polka dot paper leaving the punch edge at the bottom.
  4. Cut out the flower design from the Bo Bunny Cotton Candy Popsicle paper.   Adhere that to the left side of the layout. Add four photos across the bottom. (The photos I printed out were approximately 2 ½" x 3 ¼" in size.)
  5. Next matt a larger photo with the Bo Bunny Juicy Orange Popsicle paper.  Lightly ink the edges with the ColorBox orange ink and then adhere to the paper. Create your title using stickers.  (I used the Bo Bunny Popsicle Combo stickers for the first part of the title and the Bo Bunny Grease Monkey Combo Stickers for the second half.)
  6. Using a Making Memories paper piercer, poke holes along the paper stems. Hand sew the stems using green thread. Using white thread, sew on buttons from Bo Bunny's Popsicle Buttons & Bling and Mango Luau's Buttons & Bling.
  7. Add  fun  color touches using Perfect Pearls  and Bo Bunny's Sunkissed I Candy brads.
  8. Add a touch of the cute Bo Bunny Buttercup Double Dot ribbon.
