Product Review: BasicGrey Designer Cardstock
BasicGrey has long been one of my favorite paper companies, with my only complaint being that their paper collections don't contain enough sheets of their distressed cardstock. Now, they have solved this problem by introducing their new Designer Cardstock Collections. These papers come in six color schemes: Practical, Crude, Fresh, Optimistic, Crisp, and Happy. Each collection contains 24 sheets of cardstock, four each of six colors. Each 12"x12" sheet is double-sided, both sides are the same. Each sheet of cardstock is distressed just the right amount to be useful without being overwhelming. Each sheet is the heavy, smooth, high-quality paper I expect from BasicGrey. The cardstock is ready-to-use, without the half-inch strip that some papers have
Although these papers are distressed, they can be used anywhere that solid cardstocks would be used, such as backgrounds or photo mats.
The smooth finish is wonderful for stamping on. Stamped images can even be colored in.
Since the papers are double-sided, they are perfect for cards, especially the lighter colors, as there is no need to line the card.
Of course, they can be easily die-cut as I did for the title letters in this layout.
I can't say enough good things about these cardstock packs. The only problem is deciding which collection to get first, since you'll want them all eventually. Once you get some of these amazing cardstock packs, I am sure you will be as thrilled as I am. So, be sure to share all your wonderful cards and layouts here in your gallery.
