Product Name: Echo Park Wintertime Collection
The entire Wintertime Collection Kit can be purchased for $13.99. Individual double-sided patterned papers are available for $0.89, solids are $0.79. Sticker sheets are $2.99.
Echo Park Paper Company, formed in April 2010, is named after Echo Park, the original home of the silent film. Each of their collections offers a themed set of 12 papers along with two coordinating sticker sheets. The Wintertime collection is a snow-themed collection based on several shades of blue, grey, white, and red. There are three coordinating solid color papers that are also double-sided for a total of six matching solids. One of the sticker sheets contains an alphabet with letters in all six shades plus a smaller alphabet in two colors. Echo Park makes high quality, double-sided papers that are easy to work with.
The papers and stickers in the Echo Park Wintertime collection are perfect for scrapping your winter memories. They are ideal for snow adventures including sledding, snowmen, and ski-trips. The dark blue and brown tones make this collection perfect for a boy’s snow adventures, while the lighter blue and red make it suitable for girls as well.
The red tones make this collection perfect for a non-traditional approach to Christmas scrapping as well.
There is also a 12” x 12” page of journaling cards which can be cut apart and used separately for journaling, tags, or greeting cards.
Tips & Techniques:
- The Echo Park collection gives you enough papers to create layouts without requiring you to match with other collections. For a quick winter page, make an entire layout from the collection.
- For a unique look, combine the Wintertime collection with ribbon and twine from your stash or mix and match with other snow-based products and collections.
- Embellish the journaling cards for a great tag or title block.
- Use these papers for beautiful holiday cards or thank you notes. Use the red tones for a snowy Valentine’s card.
- Use your die-cuts or punches to punch snowflakes from the papers for additional snowy embellishments.
Project Ideas & Examples:
In this layout, I used the Wintertime collection to scrap my son’s experience skiing in the powder. I often find that the shade of white in snow pictures varies depending on the lighting which can make it hard to match multiple photos on the same layout. However, you can see in this layout that the tones in the Wintertime collection work perfectly with the variation in the snow photos. The snowflake border along the bottom is die-cut from the Frost paper.
In this layout, I combined the Wintertime collection with products from other manufacturers to highlight three photos from our ski trip. I used several patterned papers from the Wintertime collection as well as two fonts from the sticker sheet. I dressed up one of the journaling cards using rick-rack, felt, and twine to make a tag with a subtitle. Once again I love how the colors in this collection work with the various tones in the snow pictures.
