So they were calling for it, although just a few flurries... maybe an inch or so... but we awoke this morning to a thick blanket of the cold, white... well... yuckiness. Just 2 days ago it was 75 degrees... we were outside in short sleeves enjoying the blissful sunshine. The horses were happy, oh so very happy to be outside in the warmth, basking and soaking up the rays! And now we are back to ...

Some friends and I have decided to GO GREEN!! We are building a 2 page LO without buying 1 embellishment. This is not an easy task. We are using items that we already have at home from other products. Twisty ties from trash bags and tabs from bread loaves. Washers and piture hangers, etc. This should be fun and inexpensive. We aren't using our cricuts either. That uses electricity. So we shall see...

Time to start making list and pulling it all together. We are expecting our first little one in August and said little one is going to take over my scrap space (this is one time I don't mind!) So step one on the road is to take inventory of what I have.
This week PAPER
1. Seperate pp from cs. 2. Make matches pp to cs (I always scrap 1 pp to 1 cs) 3. Take a look at leftovers. Will I really ...

Okay, so I did re-categorize a couple years of left over prints. 2006, 2007. I am working on 2008 lo's now, so will categorized the leftovers as I go.
Set up my category drawers and designated my cold storage but am not changing my "current to be scrapped" storage and I am not ready to start all new albums yet. still have some AC albums to use for the time being but don't have all the differen...

Tomorrow (3/21) marks the start of my fast from buying more scrapbooking supplies. It is my committment to not purchanse anymore gadgets and gizmos until May, at least. I've spent more on scrapbooking in the the past month than ever before! This month, I've been to the scrapbooking expo (spent about $60), and I've gone to Joann's and Michaels more times than I can count. They had those "March ...

Evolution of a Scraproom.
I wanted to have a place to put all the pics of how my scraproom has evolved all in one place. So here it is.
This is what my very first scraproom looked like (March 2009):

One of my biggest delimmas is whether to scrap every little tidbit. Therefore I save everything. This means I have LOTS of tubs of "stuff". My children are in college and married. That's many, many years of memories. My "honey" has given me the best gift of all to allow me to "work" on this dilemmas. He took our old entertainment center and refurbished it become a "Scrap Cabinet". He is building d...

So we went, we saw, we shopped! I went over budget alittle but it was worth it. With all the scrapbook stores closing I had to take advantage of the products available. I dropped $100 right away at the Basic Grey & Tim Holtz booth. I am ready to start scrapping!!

Chemo #3 finished and I'm feeling good! I reorganized the scraproom last week...horrible about not taking pictures or posting them! But it felt good to get things in order. I'm trying to plan some projects and get back into scrapping full time. I've been working on a family/heritage album for my mother and would like to finish it by Christmas. I'm going to gather supplies and send to my sisters so...

This weekend is a non-tournament weekend. It's still filled with practices, etc, etc. Lots has happened in the past few months. My girlfriend, Sonda, her little girl went to be with God and we attended her celebration. Sonda is a good scrapping buddy and life has swept us all in the moments of the children aging and growing. I've been scrapping here n' there.
There's a lot of self improvement goin...

I've been primarily working, working, working. Well, I mean besides going to work, I've been working on a scrap book for my mother-in-law for her birthday, or for some special occassion...depending on when I get it done. Anyway, it will be 8.5 x 11, which is a faster size to work with. and will include many photos of her family members. Sometimes I have had to email her and ask who the individu...
