Rebate Woes!

Where the heck is my rebate??? IRS.gov says it should have been here in my account on May 9th! Can't get any HUMAN on the phone and the automated system won't tell me anything after I enter all of my information. Anyone have any suggestions? Fine if it is going to be delayed but they could have the decency to tell me! I feel like packing all of my scrapbook supplies, some Vanilla Coke and renting a boat and going to a deserted island. Then I wouldn't have to pay taxes and then I wouldn't be waiting patiently (or impatiently) for my darn rebate check that wasn't even my idea in the first place!!!

I called the other day about ours and got a hold of a human.. (YAY IRS LOL) They said that some of the stimulus checks that should have been direct deposited have been or will be mailed out especially if there was a reduction in your 2007 refund and you got less in that refund than you were suppose which is causing the checks that where not suppose to be direct deposited to be delayed in being mailed out i hope that makes sense.. but that is what we were told.

If you used any sort of tax filing service and had any fees taken out of your rebate, you will get a paper check. That's what happened to me. We used Turbo Tax and had the filing fees taken out of our rebate, so now we won't see a paper check until July. you can go to the Turbo tax website and it explains it there.
