I went to class last night and did 2 double layouts. But unfortunately I could not finish them.
The first layout I did was the one the blogged about yesterday - the layout called "PURRFECT". The reason I did not finish it is because I decided to enlarge the picture of my cat. There are only three pictures - jumbo size so I want to enlarge the one since it is a double layout.
The products I used for the "PURRFECT" layout is the following:
- Imaginisce Baby Powder Collection; Double Sided; Oopsie Daisy for the backing
- Imaginisce Baby Powder Collection; Double Sided; Queen of the Crib - I cut out in a circle with scalloped edges
- For matting I used the other side of the Imaginisce Baby Powder Collection; Double Sided; Queen of the Crib which is pink as well as very light green cardstock
- The title was done with chipbaord letters that I painted green and pink
The second layout the we did last night I also could not finish also due to the fact that I decided to rather enlarge the one picture. This layout contains pictures of me and my DH coming out of the church and everyone throwing us with rose petals. The left hand page has the enlarge picture on with a chipboard door that opens up, so that it looks like we are coming out of the door. The right hand page has 6 pictures on that I cut the exact same size. The pictures tells the story of when we just got out the church until we got to the car. It shows the various phases of the rose petals falling. I repeated the door effect on the right hand page by making a big copy of the chipboard door out of pattern paper. The title - The Journey begins with a single step - I am going to do with a combination of chipbaord letters and rub-ons.
The products I used for "The Journey begins with a Single Step" are the following:
- My Minds Eye pattern paper - turqouise and cream stripes with red flower on the stripes - was used to make the door for the right hand page
- Berry red and cream cardstock (for matting) and light turqouise cardstock as backing
- Wilpro chipboard door - it was covered with cream cardstock and I am still going to ink the edges with red
The double layout we did on Monday evening I have also not finished yet. This layout contains only 2 A5 pictures with me and my reflection in the mirror. Due to the frame in the mirror Belinda made two frames which she embossed with the cuttle bug. We could not finish the layout since the one frame was skew and we had to fix it. The layout is called "Mirror Mirror on the Wall".
The products I used for the "Mirror Mirror on the Wall" layout are as follows:
- My Minds Eye pattern paper - Parsley - was used for backing
- Wilpro chipboard letters for the title
- Copper/Brown cardstock for the frames
- Cuttlebug for the embossing
