Today I just sat on my computer 4 hours looking at all the wonderful layouts, I went on my profile page and went to my friends pages and I was just in aww I cant believe all the different ways there is to scrapbook and a lot of the ones I looked at had what they used to create the page so I got my pad of paper and pencil and started writing down and even drawing the things I wanted to remember (not to copy them but just to remind me how it was done.) I want to get out of my comfort zone with the sticker and rub on's & that l always put just 2 picture on a page there is so much more out there, so I am gonna venture into a new world of scrapping as of this weekend I am gonna start using my cricuit , embossing machine my inks all my many scissors , journling (one of my nightmares) ect. I am not happy with what I have been doing I have just been afraid to exsplore the many different ways of scrapbooking, I also want to set a goal for myself I want to set a time frame and get the amount I set 4 myself done, I need lots of help though I just saw on here today where a lady got these beautiful stickers at a dollar tree, I had no idea we could find things there! so i I I am gonna go and take a look today, if I can save a dollar that is a plus to me we all no how exspensive this hobby is, so like I said I am gonna start using the things I have been afraid to use I am gonna exsplore with my cricuit today I have only used it a handful of times (I want to no what this machine can do) But I am off to do my laundry and then take a ride to the dollar tree to see what they have I am hoping to have some of my pages up by next weekend please tell me what you think the good parts and the bad parts, Thanks.
I spend alot of time looking at lo on this site to inspire me. You'd be surprised where you find CHEAP scrapbook stuff. Big Lots, Tuesday Mornings, and even Krogers!!! They had a basket at Krogers last week and my friend found brads, stickers, and ribbons all a $1!!! The Dollar Tree is a favorite for me too. One of my favorite money savers is the 40 percent off coupon Hobby Lobby has alot online. It ususally every two weeks and they have it. Just print it and save 40 percent!!! Have fun scrappin!!!
Good luck!! I've been trying to change up what I do too and it can be hard. I've been spending more time on my LO's but I'll eventually get quicker I hope. I love the cricut!!! Making your own embellishments is more time consuming but I think they end up looking really nice and they always match your page that way(: I don't have any advice on making it more affordable though. I haven't figured that out. Oh things are cheaper when you leave the scrapbooking section of the craftstore. The cheapest thing is not going to the craftstore lol. happy scrapping!! I'm looking forward to seeing what you make with your new stuff!!!
