How to make a birthday tag using Clear Scraps acrylic
Here is a simple Birthday bag and tag created by one of our Design Team members, Lisa Falduto.
1. Use Tim Holtz Cranberry alcohol ink by Ranger and dab all over one side of the acrylic tag evenly. (you may choose another color if you wish to coordinate with whatever paper you are using) Allow a few minutes to dry. 2. Flip your tag over and using a word or design stamp all over the tag using black Staz-on ink. Be careful as you stamp as the acrylic surface is slippery and you may smear your ink. If this happens it can be removed using some solvent based rubber stamp cleaner. Your tag should now look something like this.
 3. Cover your gift bag with a patterned paper on both sides.
4. We will now create a pocket on the front that will hold a paper tag. Cut a coordinating piece of cardstock measuring 2 1/4" x 4". Place this at an angle across the tag making sure you adhere it on 3 sides leaving the top open for a tag to slide in and out. (I used 1/8" super tape by Therm O Web) Trim the ends that hang over the tag.
5. Cut another piece of coordinating patterned cardstock 2"x3" which will serve as your tag. Round all 4 corners using a corner rounder. This tag will be where you write your message or greeting to the recipient. Slip it into the pocket that we already created in the acrylic tag. I added a sparkly chipboard flower with some bling to the top of the tag.
 6. Embellish the tag with rhinestones, flowers, or other elements you have in your stash to make it your own design and add it to your gift bag using ribbon or fibers. Here is my final result!

I used K and Company Urban Rhapsody collection patterned paper and embellishments for the bag and tag set pictured.
I hope this helps get y our creative juices flowing! Watch for more quick ideas I post in the future. Check back often! Have fun!
