Focus on Flowers

Flowers!!

Oh just saying flowers brings a smile to my face. I love flowers and have for quite some time incorporated flowers on my layouts and projects.

Bo Bunny has the perfect flowers for your projects. We offer our flower packs in colors and styles that work beautifully with our scrapbook lines. No guessing on which colors will match and look right! Just pick up the coordinating flowers sold in packs of 20 petals and you're all set!

I asked the gals to work with out flowers and once again..I'm completely in awe of their creativity and use of flowers! I'm sure you'll agree!

Welcome "Home"
Designer: Carole Janson
Abbey Road Vine Pattern Paper, Abbey road Truffle Pattern Paper, Abbey Road Stripe Pattern Paper, Abbey Road Pattern Paper, Abbey Road Memories Cardstock Stickers, Abbey road Combo Stickers, All Stuck Up Brilliant Blue Flowers, All Stuck Up Brilliant Blue and Licorice Buttons, Anastasia Rub-ons Brown, 3/8" Chocolate Double Dot Ribbon

1. I used an Anastasia Rub-on for the centre of this flower, then I cut into two and placed next to the heart on the roof.

2. I created some layered flowers by cutting out the pattern paper, and mixing it with the All stuck Up Flowers and then threaded wired through the flowers, and through a button, and then placed the wire into foam in the watering can.

3. I created layered flowers with the pattern paper and stickers from the Abbey Road papers and Combo stickers, I stuck these flowers onto the swirls, the bird cage and on the window box.

4. I used the flowers in my title "Welcome for the "O" which I used a button for and then layered flowers behind to give more depth and detail.

Beach Babes
Designer: Tamara Jensen
Mango Luau Flowers, Mango Luau Combo Stickers, Hang Loose iCandy Brads, Ambrosia Rub-ons, Chiffon Dot Paper

Designer Tip: Use flowers to make a bold visual statement on your layout - sweeping across the entire page and framing your photo. I used the entire package of Mango Luau flowers! Did you know you can use rub-ons on flowers? The Ambrosia rub-ons made beautiful flower centers, layered with the delicious icandy brads.

Pretty Pumpkins
Designer: Shanna Vineyard
Beautiful Life Collage, Decaf Dot, Orange Citrus Dot, Wasabi Dot, Fall is my Favorite Cardstock stickers--- I used the "&" on this layout, Clover Chunky Chips, Alpha Stickers, Dis-Stress Me Out Acrylic Stamp, U Bug Me Buttons & Flowers

Designer tips:

There are several fun ways I used our fabulous Bo Bunny flowers on this layout.

First--- an easy way to add texture and dimension is to layer them like I did with the orange and yellow ones.

Second--- I stamped brown dots on the yellow flowers to add interest & detail. I used the acrylic stamp set from Bo Bunny called Dis-Stress Me Out. Before I stamp on silk flowers I apply adhesive to some plain paper then lay the flower down flat so it's easy to stamp on and doesn't move while stamping and drying. See photos and close-up.

Third--- Flowers don't ALWAYS have to be used as flowers. HA! I cut some green flowers in half for the leaves on my pumpkin tops. I inked them a bit to dull the color before sticking them down. See close-ups of these as well.

Fourth--- and last thing I did was to fold a flower in half to give it a different look then still added a button for the center. See the yellow flower in the lower left corner of the layout.

You'll definitely be rethinking your flowers, rubons and stamps now!

Julia
