The previous blog tells the reason for the party at My Place.
Thanks to Tricia, our purchasing manager, we now have a game of tag forming on personal blogs. I'm going to tag three of our party goers so you can learn more about them too.
1. The last technique I tried was dressing some undressed letters from Basic Grey. I had a blast transforming the basic grey (no pun intended) letter into something beautiful (at least I thought it was). I’ve also completed some layouts using Making Memories, Creative Imaginations and Heidi Swapp foam stamps. I was reluctant to use them at first but am a fan now.
2. My last scrapbook purchase was a ton of beautiful products from our trip to Memory Trends (Tricia was responsible for the actual ordering). Being the Founder of Scrapbook.com has its perks. I get to spend lots of money on lots of products and then see you have all the fun of purchasing them in the Superstore. Actually, I purchased some ribbon and rub-ons (from various companies) at Pebbles in My Pocket in Orem, Utah two weeks ago. It’s a great store with friendly staff; I go there every time I get to the SLC area.
3. My favorite paper manufacturer is Basic Grey for patterned paper and Bazzill Basics Paper for Cardstock. I never want to run out.
4. Check out this cool layout by Heather020802 http://www.scrapbook.com/scrapbook_layouts/showphoto.php?photo=53513 . I’ve had this layout in my favorites for a long time. Go see how Heather incorporated an ABC list into a layout of her son.
5. My scrapbooking style is all over the place because I like to try new techniques. It’s a rare day that I actually have time to scrap though, but when I do, I’m all about finding unique ways to add journaling. I love to tuck it in hidden pockets so my family has more fun looking at their layouts.
6. Ink it or not? I often have stained fingertips from Nick Bantock’s Van Dyke Brown ink pad and his other colors. I also love Tim Holtz’s Distressed Inks.
7. I store my paper and cardstock in file cabinets (8.5 x 11) three of them (I know, it’s a bit much – I really dislike trips into the warehouse for one piece of cardstock) and Display Dynamics paper trays (12 x 12).
8. My favorite embellishment currently is ribbon, ribbon and more ribbon. The list would be too long to name my favorites and their companies. I’ll quickly mention American Crafts, SEI and Scrapworks.
9. My favorite scrapbooking magazine is Scrapbook Answers. Why? Because they have all the answers of course.
10. If I could have lunch with any scrapbook celebrity I would choose Heidi Swapp, she’s my neighbor down the road, not a Scrapbook.com Neighbor (though I wish she’d hurry up and get a My Place and be a Neighbor) and I don’t see her very often. I’ve also tried to meet up with Rachael Brenchley, owner of Basic Grey. I’d love to have lunch with her so I could tell her thank you in person for her great papers.
11. My favorite adhesive is MS. Herma Fix, she’s a little stuck-up though.
I've tagged Sonnya (QueenSonnya), PaperDollWendy (hiwendyhi), and Scrappy_Chick (Sanfleor) …you’re it!
Other's who’ve been tagged: Tricia http://www.scrapbook.com/blogs/39572.html, BethR, Maryann and Itsmelah
Following is the list of the above questions if you want to answer them and start playing tag with your Friends too. Send the list to three of your friends in a PM with instructions. Party on!
