I scrapbook as a means of gift-giving. I have created so many, many things and yet I have nothing to show for it in my own home! LOL! I get such sheer joy after giving a meaningful gift to a friend or family member that I continue to create for others... more than I create for myself.

Mother's day is a particularly good time to give selflessly to the woman who has raised me - MY MOM - and this will be the first "real" completed album I have given to her.

I wanted it to be super special, but I didn't know where to start. I wanted to use a product in a way that it wouldn't normally be used, so she'd have a one-of-a-kind memory and rather than trying to journal my own feelings for my mom - I chose to use quotes that others have said and felt to help sum up the really special and complex relationship that I have with my mother.

I am an only child - so she is a particularly special mother in her own right... :)

This is the finished album with an embellished cover. Believe it or not - this entire album was created using the Bo Bunny Calendar Kit - however, I altered it so it's no longer a calendar but a tribute to my MOM.

Choose ONE template from the guide in the kit that is your favorite, replicate it 12 times using the appropriate monthly paper, and then just flip flop the papers for your DUPLICATE album!

(Example: you used a polka dot paper for the background and a striped paper for the mat in the album you gave your mom. You'll use the striped paper as the background and the polka dot paper as the mat for the album you keep...SIMPLE!)
