Still cleaning and trying to get things organized on my home front, not just sb-wise.

Tired of looking at my mother's party pix. The album will have over 60 pages!! Think I'll work some on my 8x8 Circle Journal layouts. :) Just to take a break from the birthday pix.

Gotta plan an nice dinner for tonight, which also means, clearing off the dining room table. :LOL:

I have a date tonight with John. We're going to see a friend sing in a local pub.

I got one of those phone calls that no one wants to get at 3:30 in the morning. Brian's dad died, it was a massive heart attack and he didn't make it through surgery. Brian left to go get his belongings and whatever else he needs to do at the hospital. We've decided we're still going to go through with Micayla's party on Saturday but I'm not so sure how to tell her that he passed away.

Forgot to mention this last week: my niece is having a girl! :)

Had a good support meeting last night. I had our state Speaker of the House and Director of the Bureau of Autism Services there to address parents. While the tasks that lay before us to move toward better services/plans for the lifespan of individuals with autism is very daunting, it was a very energetic and motivating evening.

Oooh, just heard about the circle journal. I'd love to participate. Doing the same basic LO for everyone would be great. PM me if you want a page!

I have my DDO date tonight instead of tomorrow night, and then Saturday I'm going to a funeral in the morning and the Red Cross black tie ball in the evening, so you may not see much of me. But I'm here in spirit... and I'll try to keep up. Trying to work on those ATCs I owe the DRSers so I can quit feeling guilty about doing other stuff. Oh, and taking care of short people.

Had a great mother-daughter day with DD. Took her to see "Horton hears a-who". It was a great movie. Very true to the original book in terms of drawing and rhymes.

Will be busy preparing for the Egg Hunt Party, cleaning house, cleaning backyard, and baking for DD's school fundraiser for missions. It'll be lots of fun! Will u/l pics on progress. :D

Otherwise...nothing new, just tired.
sooo much to do tomorrow. Not a day of rest for sure.

I'm now working on organizing my church's Seder which is on April 20th. Gotta get things set up to get volunteers to do alot of the cooking and stuff. Other wise it won't be a full meal Seder.

I'm leaving tomorrow for Chicago for a conference. I'm up late trying to get everything done that I should have been working on all day. Hopefully, the hotel I will be staying at will have internet access, otherwise, I'll talk to ya'll on Tuesday night or Wednesday! Have a great Sunday!

I was thinking maybe I'd do the circle journal but it's not going to happen for a few weeks. I have about 5 weeks of school left and then I'm on summer break so if you don't mind waiting, I'd be happy to do one once classes are through. PM me if you want to exchange addresses.

Micayla's birthday is Monday and we had her party on Saturday. She had a great time, she loved whacking the Pinata (She was the only one who did it because we had to do it at my moms and no one else came in). I'll make a cake tomorrow for Monday and she has another present to open from us. Other than that there's really nothing new going on.

I actually scrapped this weekend. Got 3 whole pages done and uploaded. Not looking forward to tomorrow being Monday and having to start the week all over again.

Still finalizing the menu for the Seder. Hope to finish that tomorrow.

Will be babysitting both boys tomorrow morning while dd goes to the dentist. So I won't be on line until afterwards. But I may ban myself from here until I get certain things done around the house. :lol:

Things are going okay for the moment. The funeral is Thursday. Today we chose his plot and met with the funeral director to set all that up. Tomorrow we have to go back and pick out his casket (We were waiting until Brian's dad's ex-wife gets back from Florida). We found out she's the person who will get his life insurance policies (thankfully we are on good terms with her). So, we'll see how it goes.

I'm back from Chicago. Had a good time and attended a couple of good sessions at the conference (and a few not so good ones). I even managed to have a green beer last night. I took a taxi to Windy City Scrapbooks. Cost me 24 dollars round trip, but it was worth it and fun to go. I can't believe how expensive everything is in Chicago. It's a whole different world from where I live! I'm glad to be home.

Went to a crop this morning. Got 11 pages started. Was planning on finishing them up tonight but got wrapped up in hunting for virtual eggs on another site to win a Cricut. I've found all but one and the site has gone down twice!!!

Today was the funeral. It was a very emotional day, he had a lot of friends and a lot of people attended (His one sister said when she goes she hopes she has as many people at her funeral as he did at his). We took the kids and they did really well, Micayla told my sister that her pappy looked like he was sleeping and she told her Nana that her pappy was dead, she told us her pappy is in heaven. She doesn't really understand and that's okay she knows if she has questions she can ask and we'll answer the best that we can. So that was my day, next week we'll start cleaning out the apartment and dealing with all the stuff.

Toot, toot, toot! I just got invited to join the Creative Team at another SBing website (TTS). I am so happy! Wowsers!
