Cinnamon Roll-ups   (2 comments, 25 views) Sunday, 23 March 2008

One of the things I served for Easter Brunch this year. Our company wanted the recipe & I had to type it anyhow to email to her, so I thought I'd share it here, too.

Cinnamon Roll-ups

Cinnamon & Sugar (use ratios to your taste)

1 C butter (2 sticks - 1 cold, 1 melted*)

1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese

1/2 C sugar

24 slices fresh white bread, crusts trimmed (I just use a whole loaf - not usually 24 slices, but still plenty)

Mix cinnamon & sugar to taste. Cream together 1 stick butter, cream cheese & sugar. Roll bread slices with rolling pin and spread with cream cheese mixture. Roll up, brush with melted butter, and roll in cinnamon & sugar mixture. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.

NOTE: Original recipe calls for 1/4 C (1/2 stick) melted butter, but I roll my roll-ups in melted butter (rather than brush it on) then roll in cinnamon & sugar, so it takes more.

Jenni posted the above recipe. :D
