Was to baby sit today but dd canceled it. Then I found pix that I've been looking for over a week, they were still in the car. Was gonna scrap but my mom called. She sounded down, so we're going out to lunch now. My, how, things change.
On the good side, the county called to verify the building permit. Everything is a go for next week!!!

Heated up some frozen White Castle burgers for supper and served sweet potato home fries for my guys and dd and her boys.
Just found out that they plan on moving out May 10th. :sigh: :cry: Glad I took Bradley with me today. But I'm wore out, he's a constant chatterer and he requires constant affirmation to his chatter. My brain has semi-melted from "conversations" with him.
On the upside, having him with me kept me from going to Hobby Lobby and Joann's today. :lol:
Now I've gotta clean up some, get some birthday layouts done and then pack up for tomorrow's crop.

Oh, wanna mention than one of our chickens was injured yesterday. Dh bought it in to our bathroom (to keep the cats from it). It had an open wound on its abdomen and a broken leg. Tonight with dd's help, they splinted the leg, and tended to the belly. The hen is now in our shed. I'm airing out our bathroom (smells like the barn).
We're sure she's the one laying the funky eggs. I really wanted dh to butcher this one and move on but he really wanted to help her.
DD tells me in confidence she wants to order some more egg laying chick for dh/her dad for an early father's day gift. This way she can still get eggs later from us. :LOL: I told her to work it out with her brother since he knows where all the stuff for young chick are. :p

Sorry I've been a little MIA. Beginning of the month is a little hot and heavy with my CT duties at TTS. Plus my in-laws are visiting this weekend. But things are good with me. I posted a couple of new layouts here.

I broke down and ordered bi-focals. Should have over a year ago. Put it off as long as I could! I'm not admitting that I am aging - just that I am maturing! :-)

I am soooooo far behind. As I predicted, yesterday turned into a alllll day thing!
we got up and went to the lottery at the campground. Ended up with some swapping, getting the exact site we wanted!!
So of coarse that meant we had to go buy a camper. Good thing we researched it the night before on line right? Yep cause we got to the dealer with less than an hour until they close. Looked at about 30 different campers until we found the one we liked, and bought it!!!
I am absolutely certain my hubby has lost his mind! But then we drove back down to the campground to clean up the site, and since it is right next to our friends, we had to celebrate with steaks over the fire and cold beer.

Hubby started my day out asking if I wanted something for breakfast that we didn't even have in the house, so I fixed him and made him take me out to breakfast. Then a trip to Home Depot for grass seed for our campsite and price everything we need for the deck. Home so he could work on the boat. I worked on our carpet downstairs some and then put my foot down and headed for my scrap cubby.
It's 57* and I have the windows open. Put away most of my Memories Expo haul and rather than find a place to keep my Take and Make, I made it!

Church, lunch at Red Lobster (with a MyPoints gift card!), came home. Little Man went down for a nap. I started trying to catch up here. Around 3:30, I just couldn't hold the eyes open any longer, so went to lay down.
DD & DGS left around 4:15 to go visit a friend and her baby. Other than waking up a few times, rolling over and going back to sleep, I napped until 5:30. Woo-hoo!
Got up. Watched some more of "The Prestige" w/DH and worked on scrappy stuff.
Had to do an assessment report tonight for work.
And now I just want to get back to the table and scrap some more and keep going on these pages since I know what my current step/phase is.
If I don't get back here later tonight, I'll be here tomorrow night after Little Man goes to bed.

I was completely offline for a period of 24 hours thanks to the charity crop. I sold over $100 of inventory, have a couple of orders coming in, got at least three new customers, caught up with a friend, and even got a few pages done. The crop raised over $7000 for Child Health Services.
I was home by 8:30 - I left early because I was starting to have trouble staying awake and I was overtired and starting to get too emotional. When I staggered in the door, I started getting ready to go to bed. When John caught up with me to give me a hug, I started to cry from sheer exhaustion and pain. I think my hands and hips are getting arthritic and toting the contents of my scraproom all over the place in a short amount of time did not help any. I'm still feeling a little emotionally hung over today, but some motrin, coffee and a hot bath helped me return to humanity.

Stayed up too late uploading my most recent layouts. Got up and got alot done in the kitchen this morning.
Then dd called to ask me to check my email. She wanted some help with Algebra. I wasn't much help and on top of that I got stuck in my computer's vortex. Now it's two hours later and I'm all caught up on comments and challenges and even added some more threads to my faves. :duh:
I'm now trying to pry myself from my computer to get working on my bedroom. How can I tell son to clean his room with mine like it is? Well, I can't and I really really wanna fuss at him about his room, so I'd better get mine cleaned up. :evil:

Just skim over the couple pages worth of discussion on the thread about working out the following quadratic equation:
h(t)=-16t²+75t+20
|

|
I found the formula again:
x = [-b +/- sq rt(b^2 - 4ac)] / 2a
so, for Dawn's question
x = [-75 + sq rt(75^2 - 4*(-16)*20)] / 2*(-16)
and
x = [-75 - sq rt(75^2 - 4*(-16)*20)] / 2*(-16)
Therefore, x = -0.2530 and x = 4.9405
We can add one more thing to my obsession... LOL!

Elder grandson may have measles. DD is taking him to doc's at 11 this morning.
Then she asked if I wanted to go with her to the doc's and then to Wal-mart. Uh, NO!!! I do have to do my shopping for the week and for cooking tomorrow. Not sure of what to make at this point. I'm gonna contact some local restaurants so see what they'd charge for "catering" to a crowd of 40. If the price is right, I may be just picking up dinner tomorrow instead of cooking it.

Elder grandson has hand, foot and mouth disease. Not serious to adults but highly contagious among little ones. Looks like I'll be babysitting him all day tomorrow until his mother comes home.
I'll be making Salisbury steaks, mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. My old stand by and most everyone's favorite meal at church.

Busy day today. Up early, took my car in for some service. went to see a very difficult patient, but managed to win her over I think. Drove all the way back and 20 miles past my house to see 2 other patients.
THEN, I ran in HL for some vellum...also found some flamingo things for the camp lot and a shepherd hook. Sooooo then I went to Sam's looking for something specific...got solar patio lights, a broom, printer ink, swim floats, some plastic glasses....then I went to Meijer's (like WM) and got tiki torches, a sun tea jar, another dog tie out, tiki oil,
Tooooo much fun!
Came home and had dinner, took Chief for a walk, and pulled some leaves and stuff out of a couple of my flower beds. Then caught up here.

I went to the doctors this morning and found out I have laryngitis. Doctor put me on antibiotics. I woke up this morning and couldn't talk and Brian was a huge help with the kids today. Then tonight we drove to my parents and went on a walk for ice cream (The place was closed it's only open on the weekends for right now) but we had a nice walk as a family and we were talking about what it would be like to move into town (We live outside of town now). There's a house that's perfect for us that I want but Brian is dragging his feet on calling about it. So frustrating.

Wow, I SWEAR viruses must be contagious over the internet. My kids all had hand foot and mouth disease or something generic that was very like it last week, BOY was that not fun. Vivian, hope your grandson is feeling better soon!

Yes, I'm still alive. Took DGS out for awhile after dinner last night. Met a neighbor whose daughter was getting ready to get rid of a toddler bed in a yard sale. It will be coming home with us now. :)
Next-door neighbor called yesterday to see how serious we were about wanting to rent her house. I had originally mentioned taking over her house payment, but she didn't have any down payment when she bought the place, so the monthly payment is WAY more than we can handle. However, she said they still plan to move out probably in July, and if it hasn't sold by then, it's better to have someone IN the house and get SOMETHING for the house rather than have it sitting empty. So while, for her sake, I hope it sells, we're trying to get our ducks lined up in case we can rent it this summer. (And I pointed out to DD that, while she may have other plans for the $$ in her savings, if it's important enough to her to get out of the house, she has enough in her account right now to cover a year's worth of rent.)
I decided to spend yesterday evening watching "Idol Gives Back" and working on the fleece throw for a bridal shower gift this Saturday. Surprised myself and got the whole thing done in one evening - and I didn't even start until Little Man was in bed. So now I can get back to the CJ project.
And that pretty much catches things up from here. I don't know whether I'll see much of anyone tonight. So if not, I'll just catch you all on the next thread tomorrow.
*heart*

Today, I blogged on how to fix a broken foot on a crock pot and how to power crop. Then I power cropped 30 pages for my mother's album
I tried to use the rotisseries in my new toaster oven. The 5.5 pound bird was too big. Ended up baking instead. Still turned out great!
