I am having computer problems. I'm going to try a full system recovery later, I'm pulling everything of value off of it. John's going to talk to a friend who used to build computers in his spare time and see if he does this still. We will also be weighing the cost of a new HD versus buying a new laptop. John has said that if worse comes to worse, I can borrow his laptop for work until everything gets straightened out.

Got a really crazy busy weekend starting with today! I'll have to actually log off of sb.c, that's how crazy busy!
*Farmer's Market to get more apples. Didn't get enough Tuesday.
*Sam's club for mayonnaise and granola cereals.
*Bank to make much needed deposit. Gonna take my rolled change, too. Fun, fun, fun.
*Then all, or as much as I can do today the stuff that I've let go during this week, like laundry and cleaning.
*Gotta get things packed up again for crop tomorrow. A treat for myself.
Saturday:
*Meet with girlfriends for breakfast at Cracker Barrel
*Then to the Fiskars' crop
*Leave crop early enough to get kabobs started. Cook the lamb, let cool, skewer. Skewer veggies kabobs also.
*Make cucumber salad
*Make list of things to take Sunday
*pick outfit for Seder
Sunday:
*Don't forget anything, find list.
*After morning service, get help re arranging furniture, set up tables.
*With help, decorate and get place settings done for all the tables.
*Maybe get something to eat or munch of stuff for Seder?
*Help make dessert with a friend
*Get all the meats reheated and kabobs cooked.
*Get food serving tables set up. Light the sternos.
*Don't burn down the church.
*Try to enjoy the entire process and not be in the kitchen during Seder reading.

Computer is still unresponsive. I have one more trick before I bite the bullet and buy a new one.
John and I are talking about him changing from a 6 am to 2:30ish shift to a 4pm to 12:30ish shift. There are pros and cons to him switching or not switching and when I know something more, I'll let you know. Who knows, I might be on the late night crew some nights.

I have managed to install XP, get most everything working again. I'm continuing to back up everything, just in case. I think the hard drive is failing, because sometimes it freezes and sometimes it doesn't want to turn on at all.
A friend called me Friday morning to tell me that a mutual friend died very suddenly.

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, contrary to popular belief... it's just been insanely busy..... Been to FL last month, got back then went on UMW Retreat, then there's the Roxology Benefit dinner, the Katrina Garage Sale and Cookout, dancing again, cleaning house, and since yesterday afternoon when we found her...I'm hand raising an abandoned kitten....

Busy weekend at the lake. Hubby and I built the deck and steps in front of our camper. Built a deck in front of our friends camper too. Put together the new storage unit and rearranged a lot of things in the camper.
Got home and gave Chief his first bath! What a hoot. Got ds to take pics while I was doing it. My parents came by on the way from spending the day with my grandmother at the hospital.
Worked all day today, and when I got home ds pointed out a huge dent and scrape on the back of my van. Turns out dh had a bit of an "accident" backing the trailer into the driveway last night and failed to notice it! Now he couldn't possibly be more apologetic and wants me to take it in right away for an estimate to be fixed.

Have all of the pics printed for my CJ layouts. Some of the embellies cut. Some of the others pulled out. My goal is to get all the pieces parts pulled together in one place so I can take it to the lake with me this weekend or work on it here if the weather is too bad.

Nothing new and/or exciting in my neck of the woods. Working nights, scrapping days. Jory's dose of Daytrana patch was raised this last week, and so far it seems to be helping him. He is looking forward to a birthday dinner Saturday night, and his actual birthday is Monday, the 28th. I cannot get over the fact that he will be 10. Lizzie learned a new phrase: "These men!" I don't know WHAT I'm gonna do with this child...You never know what she's going to say or WHEN she's going to say it.

Went to CKC Mesa on Friday, had a great time! I took 4 classes, the 2 acrylic classes were disappointing technique-wise (the mini acrylic album was cute though), the stamping class and SEI's 4 paper in motion classes were both great! In the stamping class, I got to stamp with resist ink, ink with a brayer and stamped with bleach. In the SEI class, we made a paper slider, a cool booklet and a folded frame. I got gorgeous papers in the SEI class... and a lot of stickers in the class kit and a 40% off coupon!
I did some shopping, contrary to my original plans. I thought I was just going to get some supplies and a few die, but ended up spending a bit at the $1 booths! I got:
- 2 very cute bosskut die
- a cute 8x8 album for $5 and a set of MM paints (6 paints with tray and 4 foam brushes) for $6.5
- chipboard letters & cute bags of brads at Queen & Co for $1 each
- Imaginisce brads and flower packs for $1 each
- SEI chick-a-doo collection for 40% off; butterfly and flower Chocolat Jolie paper
- a cute CK shirt with a cute owl in the back.. the front says sth like "everything was fine until someone loses an eyelet" in quotes
Overall , I had a blast!

Seder went really well!!! About 60 people were there and blessed. Food was really good, especially considering the limitations of the kitchen at the church. I had those kabobs cooking like you wouldn't believe with foods warming under them with the broiler going!
Then early Monday morning, bulldozer guy snapped our cable connection. So I couldn't get here if I wanted to, which I did. DH ended up working via dial up.
Tuesday, I picked up the 9 2-packs of leftover/unused grape juices to return to Sam's. The account is in the red for the first time. I spent about $600 on Seder from the Wednesday Night Meals funds. The account was at negative $20 but with these returns and other items, it should then be in the black for around $30. I didn't have to buy anything for Wednesday's meal, serving leftovers and making parsley salad and skillet apples with the leftover fresh produce. So it will be an easy cooking day tomorrow.
I did some other errands while I was out. Found Scotch brand tape runners 4-packs on clearance for less than they sell one for!!!! I bought these out. I'll resale these when I open my "Scrapping Sanctuary."
Time Warner came out and fixed the broken cable. DH couldn't resist helping. He used to be the guy to run phone cables when someone damaged them and he knows how to fix such things. Now there's a very bright orange cable in my front yard. I guess they'll bury it AFTER the construction work is done.

Soon I'll start my cooking. I've got another Duchess of Duke Street DVD to watch as I do things in the kitchen. Then I plan on a good long soak in the tub watching Battle Star Galactica.
Hope to clean some in my craft room.
Been trying to work up goals for the scrap space challenge. It's really funny but many of the same people I was hosting in that challenge two years ago are still there. They need to number the challenges like we do for this thread.
This will be my fourth and hopefully final time. Needed the extra boost.
I thought of a name for my space. What do you think of "Scrapping Sanctuary" or "Scrapbooking Sanctuary" or "Scrapbook Sanctuary?" Or should I just call it "Sanctuary" but I keep thinking of Logan's Run when I say that.

If we're not careful, this will become Vivian's update blog.
I almost forgot to start a new Bling Challenge thread. Got some PM votes that got me going. I also randomly selected some layouts to check who's been posting comments in the gallery and who hasn't been.
"Of the 13 layouts I randomly selected, there were 6 people that didn't post any comments to any of these. Maybe to other layouts but not these layouts. Four others that only left a comment on only one layout of the 13. Six more that only left 2 comments out of 13. That's really 16 people out of 57, which is more than a quarter of the people who entered.
On the good side 12 people left comments on ALL 13 layouts and another 3 only missed one layout. "
