Please leave your updates here!  :)

Can't get motivated. Don't want to drink more caffeine but may have to resort to that. :(

Wave...this is my first attempt at VCW blog. lol! Um...I am officially at the parents house. I have all my stuff moved out of my other house. Not quite moved IN here though (lots of stuff in the car to bring in still).

I am sooo glad to be back with my fur child. We missed each other.

I am also done with all my term projects. Two finals left to go. Now just hoping I pass everything! The finals should not be too scary, but I don't know grades for my term projects yet... :(

Hi all. Did my shadowing last night. Had a blast, but absolutely hit a wall when I got home. Didn't even check in here. Tried going to bed around 11:00. It didn't work, but I tried.

Anyhow...got a call today from HR at the hospital. They "really wanted me" but they had an internal person apply for the same job, and "all things being equal," they had to give it to that person. (Now if they "really wanted me," then how could "all things be equal"?) (Oh well, whatever.) However, they do still have a couple Unit Coordinator positions open and she wondered if I'd be interested in either of those - both 7p-7a and both in critical care. (One would be 5 nights every two weeks; the other is 6 nights every two weeks. Both are considered full-time.)

Hmmmmm. Critical care. Fewer patients at a time, I would think. But more important to get things right the first time, and to do it quickly. But then again, families there would be more stressed, and I think that dealing with stressed families could be my strong point, considering my counseling background.

Please keep this in prayer. I'm applying for the 5-night (60 hrs per pay period) job. I know that God will put me where He needs me. I just have to figure out where that is.

I'll check in with the thread later tonight. Love you all.

My sister had to rush Megan to the ER last night. She was having contractions.
They gave her the IV meds to stop it.
Megan stayed home from school today.
My sister is still going on the "girls weekend" with my youngest sister and her party party friends.

I went to bed last night at 1:00. Laid awake until after 1:30. (I just can't go to bed that early!) :) DH woke me at 3:00 when he jumped out of bed and peered out the window. Our bedroom is on the front of the house and looks down on the front yard and the street. He SWEARS he heard someone ring the doorbell three times then take off. If it happened, it didn't wake me up. If it happened, it didn't wake up the baby (and the doorbell is on the 1st floor right under his room). If it happened, DD didn't hear it, even though she was still awake (but she did have her radio on a bit). So either DH has terrific hearing (which he does) and it was the softest doorbell ring in the history of doorbell rings...or he was dreaming. In any case, he woke up me.

3:30 or after before I got back to sleep.

DGS woke up at 4:30 wanting a bottle. Got back to bed at 5:00.

Alarm went off at 7:15. I was on the road by 8:10.

Four-hour drive.
Rude staff at McD's.
Car scared me when it wouldn't start. I had called a local friend to come rescue me and called DH to tell him to make other arrangements for Monday (it's his day to drive for carpool) before I realized I'd somehow tripped the security system. The car wasn't starting because the alarm system was on! Once I turned that off, I had no problem.
Four-hour meeting.
Messed up order at Cracker Barrel for dinner.
Four-hour drive home.
Got home at 10:00.

Gonna go get something to drink, watch a bit of TV with DD, and crash.

I think I told you all that I gave in at my last eye appointment and agreed to get the bifocals. Hey - when I wear my contact lenses, I need reading glasses for the fine work/reading. But when I wear my glasses - I would also need to add reading glasses too. My nose just isn't long enough to support all those glasses!! LOL

It was time to update my glasses Rx anyway. So I ordered new glasses with progression lenses. Just got them a few days ago. Whoa do they take some getting used to! I've been wearing them for a few hours each night to try to adjust.

Making me dizzier than I normally am!

Cooking Salisbury Steaks for tonight's dinner at church.

Building is done. Pix in my gallery. I don't know what the next phase is concerning the construction crew. They've left alot of stuff still here which makes think there's more for them to do, at least come pick up the stuff. But I could be wrong.

I hope to buy concrete sealer tomorrow and tackle that this weekend. Don't know when, since dh wants to go out Friday night, Saturday we're babysitting the boys and driving them to Charleston and Sunday is Mother's Day and church. Crazy!!

Bought sealer and equipment for applying the sealer. Priced rolls of floor covering/vinyl. Looks to be roughly $200-$300 just for my area of the building. Now I'm thinking of just painting or doing a garage floor type finish. I'd rather spend the money on furnishings or sb stuff.

Found more cabinets like the ones I bought from K-mart at Big Lots. Bought 3 more with the sliding shelves/drawers. I think I'll check out other area Big Lots for more of these. I love these!!! Don't know if I'll combine the sliding shelving like previously but I have that option if I want to.
