I was keeping my stuff in my car to make things easier for the Crop tomorrow. NOW dh decides I need to pick up barrels for his biodiesel making. Which means unloading my station wagon. AND he wants to go out tonight. Which mean I won't be able to seal the concrete floor today. Rough life I lead.
I thought dh was gonna unload the car for me. Looks like I'll have to do that. :sigh:

DGS didn't go to bed last night until 1:00 a.m. Don't know WHAT that was about. :faint:
Got up this morning and got out to do my "health assessment." I got probed (with questions), pr i cked (with needles - four of 'em), pictured (for my ID badge) and had to pee (drug screen). Now I'm just tired.
DD is out with her future roomie trying to find a place to live. They had to come back home to get dry clothes for the kidlet who decided A) it was fun to tip his Sprite up and watch it dribble out the hole in the lid and B) puddles on the playground at McD's are definitely made for stomping in.
DH has been out all morning. Met with a friend for breakfast. Did a blood donation. Took the car to get a new radio put in that will hook up to Ipods. He wanted to do it this weekend so DD & I would have it for our trip next weekend. And this is why I love him. :)
Gonna go get some lunch. Tummy's growling. BBL.

Caught up to here.
Okay, here's my day.
Awake at 6, don't know why, just was
Up at 6:30, pop 3 Advil and aValium for a headache.
Caught up here.
Got evil eye from dh
So got a shower, dressed, hair, makeup. Put out chore cards for boys and threatened their lives.
Assured dog that I would not be gone for 3 days this time.
Rode an hour to the college. Grabbed tickets from dd and her boyfriend, then spent half an hour trying to keep an angry usher from giving away seats for her grandparents since they got lost coming there.
2 hour graduations ceremony
Attempted to take nice pictures of dd and friends and family while it is trying hard to rain and blow everyone away.
Took everyone to lunch and had to severely restrain myself from going postal on a couple of ditzy little greeters at the restaurant.
Nice lunch.
Back to dorm to pack up all of dd's cra*
Filled my van to the roof, her boyfriend's car, and her car!
Rode home with dh.
After 3rd call today from boat guy, dh leaves to work on boat.
Attempted to take a nap.
"Mom, the dog wants you"
Dog curls up with me.
SLAM...Mooooom do you want the seats back in the van?
No, the van needs vaccumed out first.
Okay cause roomies chair and printer are still in the van!
{Then how were you going to put the seats back in anyhow?}
SLAM....Moooooommmm....Zach hit me.
That's nice.
SLAM.....Mooooommmmm....can you cook fish in a pan?
Preferable to directly on the stove.
SLAM.....Moooom what are you doing
Attempting to take a nap.
At this point Chief decides a nap is futile so he gets up and gets a plastic Wendy's cup out of the trash, takes it under the bed, and starts crunching it and smacking it against the underside of the bed.
So I get up and make tea and pick up my lappy and dh comes in the door and says
"Did you have a good nap?"

We have had an eventful week. (I should've posted this to last week's update blog, but never got the chance.) Jeremy started work with a lawn mowing/landscaping company on Tuesday. He came home from his first day at work, and promptly quit Taco Bell. He's making more money and has more than twice the hours.
We are all adjusting; his new hours require him to be at work at 6:30am (Central time) and that means I'm getting up at 7am to get the children fed and off to school. I am having a hard time going from being a night owl to a day person; and I'm still working nights so that makes it even harder. It's a time of change that will mean better things for our family. Even Jory is having a hard time adjusting; he had a horrid Friday and Saturday.
I am going to be spending this evening doing some much-needed scrap therapy and reorganization therapy. My CD cases that hold my acrylic stamps are in desperate need of an overhaul.
It can only get better, right?

Rio came over for a crop yesterday - it was a lot of fun! I made my white chocolate macadamia nuts pancake and bacon/green onion/shallots scrambled eggs... well.. I ate a lot! LOL.... We cropped some and chatted some... and had a great time! Wish you were all here!
Rio then told me her sister's MIL can't make it to the sampler class at our LSS today, so she offered the chance for me to take her spot... that was so nice! The class was essentially free ($2.50 but you get it back in store credits)... and I got materials to make a 12x12, a 8.5x11 and a mini book. We both shopped for MM papers for the MM contest... LOL ... I also signed up for another acrylic album class for 15% off. I really like those classes...... I saw a sample of it, and it's sponsored by Glitz... so I know it's going to be fabulous! :)

I went to a crop tonight. I got over 20 pages started, need to get out to the car to get them for a real count.
Had a blast.

Went to Lowe's today. Got 4 gallons of concrete stain in Tuscan Sunset, kinda of orange color. Need to go out and vacuum up the floors then apply the stain. This way I can apply the sealer tomorrow then once that's dried, I can start moving out there. But now I'm just tired.

I just did 2+ coats of concrete stain in the building. Now it's too dark to tell but I only used 2 of the 4 gallons I bought of the Tuscan Sunset.
When I was applying the Tuscan Sunset concrete stain, I realized it's the same color as the clay here. :duh:  Had to laugh about it. At least the tracked in clay won't be so noticeable.
In the morning (if I'm able to move), I'll see if I need to apply more stain or if I can go straight to the sealer. :bounce:
I used an extended reach double wide roller. Danced around to my 80's stuff and actually had fun doing this. But I don't normally do these shoulder movements. My hands are sore. Plus I wore an old pair of shoes so I can just toss these out after sealing the floor. Well, they were a little tight and feet are hurting. I'll take some aspirin before bed.

Floor looks splotchy and it's gonna keep looking that way, too. I'll try to return the two extra gallons of stain. I don't think I'll get a full refund.
As soon as I finish my breakfast and put on my painting clothes, I'll be applying the sealer. Thankfully, I can have all the windows opened and the fan going.
My legs and arms are bit ... I don't have the right word for it. A bit wobbly, I guess. I did way more walking than I realized yesterday, back and forth, back and forth applying the stain. I'm hoping that one coat of sealer is all I need. :p Don't know how much I can get done physically today.

Got the sealer on. Have to wait at least an hour for it to dry completely. Not happy with the look but it's now protected. Lesson learned, don't apply stain in the dark and when you're really tired.

Been working my heinie-butt off. (Yes, heinie-butt grew back. Ugh.) At the end of next week, the McD's I work at goes to summer hours. (Close at midnight Sunday through Thursday and 1am Friday and Saturday.) Still adjusting to the new schedule of things. I think it was a combination of Jory and I both being unable to cope that caused both of us to have a breakdown Friday and Saturday. Everything and everybody is alright now.

Oh, need to make a correction. I got 34 pages started last Saturday at the crop. I'm now up to 230 layouts so far this year. Gotta get busy with my circle journal layout. Need to take a current photo. :p

Spent Saturday running the boys about to activities and getting school projects completed.
Sunday was a drive out to my folks to help with yard work. My dad is laid up and mom is run into the ground. We did our best to dodge the storms that past through and manage to get a bunch of work done for them.
Monday & Tuesday I went right from work to the squad to conduct interviews for the Ex. Dir. position. LONG days!!!
So now I'm dragging!! Tonight is a baseball game for my youngest - if the rain holds off.

Cathy pointed out that I haven't updated on the squirrels in awhile. There hasn't been anything funny or cute to report on. Bouncy shows up about 5 times a day, demands to be fed and given fresh water (no, really. she noses the bowl if it's empty and then glares at us.) and has beaten the tar out of any squirrel that dares show up on the porch. I'm guessing that she's given birth already and the babies still haven't left the nest yet. She's torn out a lot of fur to make the nest with, so she's very raggedy and sad looking. But woe to any one who dares come visit us! There's two other squirrels at the moment that haven't been completely chased off yet. One is new, so I figure another week of being chased, yelled at and attacked will take care of him. The other has been around for a bit, but has figured out that if he comes when she's not around, the porch is quite the pleasant place to hang out.

Wow... no updates from me for quite a while! Meg's dance recital was the 13th... she was so stinkin' cute! Layouts about it are in the planning stages... maybe by the end of the week.
Today was Meg's last day of preschool... WOW this year has flown by! Then we went to see Max and Ruby (the musical) in Delaware. We were a little late, and the ushers wouldn't let my mom's club friends save our seats any longer, so we had to sit in the back on chairs... yes that was Meg (of course), me, and both babies. They were kind of stinky about the strollers, but finally decided to let me park it on the side, sort of close to me, which meant the twins couldn't see anything. So after they got through making a mess with their teething cookies (did I mention that I completely forgot the DIAPER BAG -- and subsequently their baby food -- in my haste and chaos this morning? LOL) I picked them up and put one on each knee.
What is it about a woman with twins on her lap that makes people think help is needed? Around here, we call that a day with a Y... and just thank the stars we don't have to diaper any of these squirmy bottoms. Admittedly, the usher was steeped in guilt that she had given away my seat. So she decided to hold Jenny for about a third of the show. Which was extremely helpful when Meg was freaking out about the tarantulas in Max's imagination, but otherwise I could have taken or left. When Jenny started melting down, she left... and when it was time to put them back in the stroller and I really needed help... well, we watched a lot of people walk past us leaving the theater before my friends showed up and helped out, LOL.
After that, we went to my sister's Spring Fling where she works at the college. The weather was sort of dicey, but it cleared up and we enjoyed ourselves. Will and Jenny had their first pony rides, and went to their first petting zoo (such a shame my Mom was freaking out that they might put their hands in their mouths after *touching* an animal and wouldn't let them touch anything. The twins LOVED seeing Elmo, and Will stood up for about a decade and then danced with me a bit while Meg was getting her face painted and Jenny was repeatedly trying to get her fingers stuck in a hole in the the tent pole. A great time was had by all.
The twins turn one on Monday. So I know at this point everyone would be more shocked if I was here a lot than if I was absent... but I just wanted to let you know I'm scrambling on the housecleaning front before everyone comes over to celebrate.
Anyway, take care everyone! I'm around off and on, posting new layouts here and there (mostly ones for the TTS CT at the moment).
