Pool party today (it's almost 3am)! Ordered a Thomas cake for DS from Baskin & Robbins. He'll love it! He also love all the Thomas books, DVDs, and most of all, he loves the 2 new Lego sets - Percy & the water station and the Tractor set. It has a conveyor belt and 2 vehicles. He didn't want to go to bed... we had to let him sleep with one of them!

Did some food preparation.. will make more later. So far the menu is (slight change after Costco visit):

Green salad with avacado dressing
Shrimp cocktail (Costco)
@#$%*ake mushroom & chicken with lettuce wrap (Costco)
Chilled sea cucumber and jellyfish salad

Warning: This is a rant.

So my saga with this stupid craft website continues. I went ahead and paid the extra shipping to have my alphabet dies sent again cause I didn't want to wait for the postal service to send the other ones back. Well I checked my email this morning for a tracking email and guess what? THEY SENT THEM TO THE WRONG ADDRESS...AGAIN!!! They sent it to the same one as last time. Hello?!?!? I changed the shipping address in my account to my work address. Obviously they didn't check it. So I sent an email to them, in all caps and then I called and left a message. I am so angry right now! But I need to calm down cause there is nothing I can really do about it until Monday. I tried calling UPS but they are closed for the 4th. So deep breath.................and now my rant it done.

Getting better slowly. Problem is, every time I think I'm doing better, the fever comes back. I think it's the lupus acting up so there's not a whole lot I can do about it. Good thing I'm not working right now. Anyway, wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th.

Had a really good session with my student today. She's going to make bulgolgi for our Wednesday session and I'm going to teach her how to make grilled cheese. This is a lot of fun, and today I'm tired from it, but not as tired as I was on Wednesday.

In Alabama. Spent the day at Marshall Space Center. Thought of Liz/Moxie alot while watch iMax "The Dream is Alive" shuttle launches. Very cool! Walked under a Saturn 5 life sized replica, way cool again! Still think stargating is better than sitting on tons of rocket fuel! :lol:

Cooking a prime rib type roast for dinner. Keeping it simple with corn on the cob, watermelon and ice cream.

Dh set up the Wii and everyone else is either playing Mario Karts or are watching/waiting for their turn. :lol:

Getting ready to finish making the last two dishes for our barbecue tonight, having lots of friends over! Our menu consists of:

BBQ beef cup appetizers

BBQ chicken
hot dogs/bratwurst
hamburgers
macaroni and cheese
cole slaw

Devil's food cake with buttercream icing and sprinkles (naturally red, white, and blue)
Popscicles for the kids

Yesterday went by way too fast. I spent sometime altering a tray. Then it was off to DH's deputy's house for the huge BBQ. The entire street was filled with people! I don't know many of the people. So it was a lot of meeting new people (my life with dh is like that - he knows so many people).

It rained for a bit - but they had so many tents stretched across yards that everyone could be covered.

We left before they started breaking out the fireworks.... dh can't be around since some of them are the "illegal" kind. Came home and watched a movie.

Hoping the rain today ends so we can attend our towns 4th celebration and it's 325th bday celebration.

Don't know why my last entry didn't post. We went to my parents yesterday for a picnic and then came home. Today we did a drive by at a house. We're going to call about it. The funny thing is that it's all wrong. Brian wants a 2 story and it's a ranch style. The moment we pulled up to take a look though we both got that pang like we were where we were suppose to be. It's in town but doesn't feel like it's in town. I wish you could all see the way this town is set up it's really weird and no one ever goes up to where these houses sit. the yard is big enough for the kids to play in but not to big for Brian to mow. It has a 2 car garage which is really nice and a drive way. We're going to call and hopefully it's in our price range or the sellers are very motivated, the house is actually empty (that's how we got the trailer).

The First Fourth celebration in town was partially rained out yesterday. But they managed to fit in some of the good stuff. DH played in the annual township vs. boro softball game. For the first time in years the township beat us!

Were able to get the fireworks in after some rain passed through.

In the time that we ran in and out of the house, I finished up that lo I was working on with all the layered flowers. It was a new attempt for me.

Today is household chore day. BORING, but necessary!

My weekend was pretty good. Thankfully I did not get a sinus infection it was just allergies. They are starting to clear up now.

I spent all day Saturday making cards. I made 10 birthday cards and a few other ones. Mostly I wanted to get some birthday cards made so all I have to do is pull one out and send it.

Yesterday my head hurt so I pretty much took it easy. We made a trip to the grocery store to get stuff to make Chicken Noodle Soup. And then for some reason I couldn't sleep last night. Don't know why.

Oh I called UPS on Saturday. I have to call back on July 10 when it arrives in Columbus and they will change the city and zip code and get the package to me. Still haven't heard from the website. I'll be surprised if they even do anything. They haven't been very helpful in the past. But for as much trouble as I've been through to get these alphabets I am not giving up on them. I will get them and as soon as I do I will be sending an email to this company and tell them to cancel my account.

I just turned down the Kohl's job.

After being told that the position was for 10pm-6 am at $10 an hour, it turns out that it was for 8p-1a at less than $8 an hour. This is only the fifth flip flop from her about the position. I told her that the pay wasn't worth it. She told me maybe the company wasn't for me so i told her that I didn't want to work for a company that wasn't making itself clear to potential employees.

I'm really upset now. I want to cry.

Just heard back from that company. They apologized and then asked if I can get the package from the address it was shipped to. I think the people at this company are complete idiots since they can't figure out that the address they shipped it to the 2nd time is the same address that didn't exist the 1st time. I'm done with these people. Completely done. They didn't offer to help me or anything. I can't wait to call UPS and get my package shipped to the correct address and be done with these people! Sorry about the rant. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Or maybe UPS will just let me pick up the package in person. I'll have to ask.

I checked around and found a Wii in a K-Mart yesterday. Had to skip Sunday school to pick it up. I was so excited... I want to give it to him today!

Our friends came over to swim .. we all had a great time. DS kissed one of our friends' baby girl very gently on her face. I told DS he'll have to marry her now. My friend laughed and said "him and his fifty wives"! LOL!!! That was his first kiss... I should scrap that. The baby girl is TOTALLY SWEET and ADORABLE!!! I always kidnap her from her parents and hold her all nite long when I get the chance to. I wouldn't mind having her as a DIL!!!!!!! ROFL!!! She's only 6 months old!

I was holding her while talking to her aunt in my scrap room. That's was her first exposure to scrapbooking!!!

We called about the house it's out of our price range. The woman quoted 3 comps that sold in that price range this year, we're not sure why she did that exactly. Oh well there's a house out there for me somewhere I just need to find it.

Middle dd and youngest dd went to a place called Conner Prairie today with friends. It is a pioneer village...they had a lot of fun. Oldest dd was gone all day at a friends. I would have had the day to myself if I didn't have to tutor. I had two little girls here for about 3 hours, tutoring, feeding them lunch, watching them swim. Then I went to a jewelry party. I came home and got on my floaty....house and pool totally to myself. I read for about 2 hours.
Unfortunately, I took the phone out with me. Oldest dd called to tell me she was going to bring a bunch of friends home. Then she called back to tell me she was getting ready to dye her hair. I told her no. She argued. I stuck to my no. I pick my battles, but she just paid good money to get pretty highlights put in her hair. I do not want her dying it black. I wish I knew what was going on with her.
A friend of mine's lawyer called me today. His ex is filing for custody again. She has done this several times and has never been awarded custody. She's trying it again. I tutored their son for about 3 years but it's been about 3 years since I've worked with him. Now they want me to testify as to how much they paid me. :sigh: I have to testify on Friday.
Now oldest dd is home with a friend, littlest dd is home with a friend and middle dd is at a friend's house.
Better go find something to feed everyone.

Work has been boring. My house is a mess. I'm doing laundry and the minimal amount of cleaning!!

Need to take my mother to an appointment that unemployed baby brother who lives with her was too busy to do. So I have over an hour and half of driving (without her) to do. I'll do my errands afterwards.

Dh worked on electrical wiring yesterday, and is picking up the a/c unit today!!! :bounce:

Dentist appt today. DS#3 has to get fitted for his football uniform/equipment tonight.

Waiting to here how Ed's surgery went.

Ed made it through surgery. Not yet awake. The tumor was larger than they thought - about the size of a larger orange. Tested it and it is benign as they had thought!

hey ladies okay so i haven't had a period in about a month and i half i took two preganacy test and they both came back negative but i have been having some symptoms and stuff so i don't know. I am goign to see if it comes this month and then take another test if that comes back negative then i am going to go to the doctor. I am not really sure of the result i want i mean a child is a wonderful thing and i would love to share that with my boyfriend but at the same time i am scared so i will keep yall updated

I absolutely love UPS!! I went on this morning to see if my package had come into the city yet so I could call UPS and get the address changed and guess what? They had already taken care of it and it's out for delivery. So hopefully I will be getting my package, finally, today! This is why I wanted to use UPS in the first place. They are much more helpful than the USPS.

Why are men so stubborn? My DH is very much so and now it's creating bad feelings with my mom and her boyfriend. He got a DUI in March and I couldn't afford to bail him out plus they wouldn't have let me anyway. I'd just started my job and I'm not a homeowner and those are the conditions. Well my mom's boyfriend bailed him out with the condition that DH pay him back. It's now July and DH hasn't paid a cent. Plus in June he had the opportunity to work off his debt but he only did it once. Now mom's boyfriend is mad cause Tim hasn't even called or anything. So mom is going to give him the money and then Tim has to pay her back. That's going to go so much worse cause she won't let up on him. And I'm so mad cause I've been getting on him about it and then he just gets mad at me. If I was the one in debt I would be saving as much as possible to pay the person back. Not DH he goes golfing, fishing, plays softball, sleeps all day, and so on. Sorry about the rant but I can't call DH. My mom is going to have a talk with him and I don't want to warn him. I think maybe he'll take it more seriously if he gets ambushed with it. I'm so mad at him for putting me in this situation. I will be sitting down with him though and we will be making out a budget. I want to start saving for a house. Okay I'm done ranting.

Dh has finished with the rented trencher. Leaving shortly to return it and get my station wagon back (traded cars with MIL in order to haul the trencher). Then I can run some short errands and do some serious cleaning.

Have company coming tomorrow, along with son coming back. Then it's gonna be a whirlwind here. Zoo Saturday and I don't know what else.

DH wants to get the electrical run and the A/C units installed so we can enjoy the building this weekend. Translate this to mean I'll be doing some serious work out there after our guests leave! :LOL:

Water is back on here. Nothing blew up, as dh stated it, when he connected power to the building. :lol:

So it's cleaning until I drop. :wave:

Very tired...and I need to go to bed because I have to get up early and testify in a custody battle of a former student. blech.
Emmy went with a friend boating today. She rode on the tube, knee boarded and tried to ski. She had a blast. I miss water skiing.
I exercised this morning, had to pay the remainder of Abby's cheer fees, relaxed in the pool some, had dinner at mil's, cleaned out my refrigerator, went shopping for a bathing suit (YUCK YUCK DOUBLE YUCK)...didn't buy one, couldn't stand looking at myself in the mirror! But I got two new books to read: Second Chance by Jane Green and A Page Out of Life by Kathleen Reid.

I just got texts from Dawn saying there was a MAJOR storm at her house and they have several small holes in part of the roof over her parents bedroom. Everyone is physically unharmed, but obviously upset.

Prayers definately would be helpful tonight.
