Time Flies!   (2 comments, 12 views) Friday, 18 April 2008
Time flies Scrappy Friends! It's been a loooong time since I've posted anything. Not that I don't have plenty to say, just where to begin! I prayed and prayed the Lord would bring Bill and I back together under one roof and He has surely answered that prayer. Now, I'm just trying to figure out why we couldn't do that in Phoenix or Houston. I lamented the miles between Phoenix and Houston and now I lament the miles between Lake Charles and Phoenix. We're never happy, are we? LOL! It's been interesting to be back in a part of the country that has rain and thunder storms frequently. Four years of Arizona sunshine and dry weather can spoil a person. Yet there were many days when I longed for a good downpour. Do you ever just want a good stormy day? Maybe it's just me, but I love that kind of weather on occasion. The Lord has certainly been teaching me a lot about Waiting. I say that with a capital "W" because Waiting is not my strong suit! It's my handicap. But the verse God gave me the entire time I was in Phoenix just continues to resonate here in Lake Charles. It's Psalms 27:14 Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord." Now I've always thought that Wait meant, wait-like you wait for a light to turn green, or wait in line. But this wait means to be "wrapped up in the Lord." Wait for Him, means look for, be involved in the Word so He can teach you. Now that is even harder for me, since I've been the "know-it-all" in the family from childhood!!! What is just so precious is that the Lord knows my character and wants me anyway!!! He sees my potential, actually He sees me perfected already, covered in the shed blood of Jesus! And another precious thought is that He never thinks we're too old to learn! He gives us opportunities everyday. Praise Him. Have a wonderful day! Wait for the Lord Y'all. Now it's time for me to work on some scrappy things to post

What an encouragement! Thanks for posting this. I know waiting is hard especially for people with control issues (speaking only for myself!) God is so Good and his faithfulness is perfect! Glad to know that He is answering your prayers! God Bless, Ambia

I have been learning to Wait as well... and In the same sense as yours it has paid off! its good to know that there are others out there going through the same things we do. Thanks for sharing and i hope he continues to answer your prayers!! happy scrapping
