Good morning Scrappy Friends!
Yesterday's scrap block has been averted! Yay!! When I finally had time to peruse my scrap mags I found the much needed inspiration I was looking for and put a layout together. It's only one but it's a start and as soon as I have the time to adhere it and scan it, I will upload it so you can see. Thank goodness for scrap magazines and publications. I can say I am not usually an original scrapbooker (sniff!) but I can take components of layouts I see and make them my own. I have to tell you I am loving Kokuyo's Dot N Roller! I have used just about everything out there except an ATG (too big and bulky for me) and the Dot N Roller is the stickiest adhesive so far and talk about easy to refill!!! If you haven't tried it, TRY IT! You'll like it. Two other things I love are my Galaxy Markers and my Signo Uni Ball white pen. Great tools. Oh and of course I love using my alphabet dies-Quickutz, Bosskut and Cuttlebug! I am done with sticker letters.
Well something I'm never done with is scripture and this morning's devotional was just what I needed to hear. You won't be surprised to hear the person being spoken about was...King David! He was just such a neat guy. He was King, yet he never did anything without consulting the Lord. He asked the Lord if he should attack another city to conquer it and God said "Yes, attack another city." Then David asked "Which one?" and God told him. (2 Samuel 2:1) Now I don't know about you, but I am one who likes to get the "whole story" the first time. I dislike getting things piece-meal. But the Lord loves to give out just a little information. Why? Would He say "Just because I can" like so many today like to say? No, He loves our fellowship, our interaction, our conversation. He cherishes the time with us and so He gives out a little so we will keep coming back for more. I can only liken this to kids-remember when you would want to just sit with your little one and just rock? Didn't you love it when they wanted to do that? No agenda, no pressing issues, just time to love on them. Maybe some of you have teenagers (my condolences! ha, ha) But seriously, don't your children just delight your heart? Well that's God's heart for us! We are His children and He delights in us. So if your prayers aren't being answered exactly, or if you're having to go back and ask for more direction, more information, more help-hey that's the Lord wanting to spend more time with you!
Have a scrappy day!
