I really didn't think Sunday could get any better til I came to the Lord. Sundays had always been a family day-they still are today, just so much more enhanced and wonderful. That peace and rest I experienced on Sundays with my family, going on those long drives, stopping to eat and fish, loving my dad sober and patient~ well I just didn't know they could get better. But they did!

I got married, we started going to church as a couple of new believers. Had 3 awesome kids and the best part was not even our family time on Sunday, but it was that part that Christ filled in me. See, even those great Sundays when I was a child would still be marred occasionally by alchohol and bad tempers. The "rest" and "peace" I thought I had was really fleeting. But the true rest and peace I found in Christ was different. Going to church, spending time focused on Him, instead of my agenda, my wants, my needs-that is what really changed Sundays for me. And every day really. Any time we spend with Him will do that same thing, but there's something even more special about Sunday because of the coporate setting of church. All of us coming together with the same mind and spirit. Wow! It's powerful. So that's why I love Sunday.
