Remember Your Valentine Valentine was the name of a young man who lived in Rome during the days when Christians were being persecuted.
Although he was not a Christian, he helped them, but he was caught and put in prison. In prison he became a believer in Jesus. Because of this, he was clubbed to death on February 14, 269. While he was in prison (the story goes), he sent messages to his friend, " Remember your Valentine" and "I love you." So on February 14 we celebrate Love Valentine loved others. He helped them and eventually gave his life for them. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 Jesus Christ also loves others. He loved the people of the world so much that He gave His life for them. God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 And Jesus loves children too. He said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Mark 10:14
If you love someone, it hurts very much if that person does not love you in return. So it is a terrible sin to reject the love that God offers. He wants you to accept Jesus as your Friend who died on a cross to pay for your sins. In this world full of hate it is good to celebrate a day of love. Jesus summarized our duties by saying Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37,38,39 Do you want a happy life? Do you want everlasting life? Love God and love others-both with words and with deeds.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him...We love because he first loved us... And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.1 John 4:16, 19,21 Remember your Valentine! Remember to love Jesus! Remember to love others"!

I enjoyed reading this!
And I loved learning about Saint Patrick too! He was known for raising the dead! The King called for him, as ( if I remember correctly), his two children died, and he raised them from the dead through faith in Jesus Christ. So, the King and the whole kingdom became beleivers!
Thanks for sharing!
God bless you & Happy Valentines Day!
