Play Ball!

Well, the opening day is coming and finally the results of a lot of hard work will be put to the test. I'm running a 13- year old State Baseball Tournament with 3 other wonderful people and the opening night is tomorrow. Soooo much work . . . and my reason for not posting . . . . missing scrapbook deadlines . . . . and dropping from MMM. But hey - we realized if WE didn't do this - nobody would - and the boys - and our volunteer coach would suffer. And you know, I've learned a lot from doing this, and I'm pretty darned proud of myself for getting through all the difficult parts of this with a (tired) smile on my face. Come July 28th, after the final out is made, I'm celebrating!
But this is really about the boys! I hope our team can play their best and have fun. Sometime there is so much stress and pressure put on these kids to win and perform like perfectly programmed baseball robots, that I wonder if the fun is lost in it. I hope the fun remains in the game for our boys

Wow-what a mom! Hope the team did well and your son had a great time! Hope you had a chance to snap a few photos! ;)
