Have you ever taken a picture that you can't stop looking at - that you just love - that you know 40 years from now, you'll still look at with fondness. It doesn't have to be the perfect photo - perfect lighting - perfect focus . . . there's just something about the photo - a feeling it gives you that makes you smile.
I took one of these photos of my son - the son who as a teenager now rarely lets me get close to him with my lens. For that reason alone - it is precious. Who knows when I'll get another chance at capturing this part of his life on film.

Yes, even with his brother goofing around in the background, this is one of my favorite photos. So you can imagine my panic when I realized I had LOST the negative. YES - gasp - I am still a film girl. I was next to tears - truly believing I had possibly lost the one decent photo of my teenager that I'd ever get.
I tore the house apart looking for it. It was when I finally gave up looking . . . and decided that I really should do some housework . . . that I found the negative . . . . . . in the laundry basket. I have no idea how it got there, but I'm so glad to have it back!

LOL! What a great story! I hope you're going to do a LO about the pic, losing, and finding the negative! It would make for a very memorable LO that your son would appreciate when he is older. This is a great pic, BTW... TFS!
