I've been pretty busy already this month. Decided I needed to join the Budget Challenge for the month and although its only September 3, I've already spent most of my budget....oh my gosh it went quick.

One of my big purchases was a Organizing 101 on-line workshop that will run for the next 6 weeks. Hopefully I will pick up some good ideas in this workshop for getting my scrappy space organized.

As my reign as Cinderella comes to a close, and we get closer to the time when I must lose a glass slipper, I want to take a few minutes to thank my fabulous 7 Fairy Godmothers who filled my wishes throughout the month. The packages arrived on an almost regular basis. My DH tormented me with notices that there were packages waiting for me at home (and I still had to work for another 2 hours). And each and every package was put together with such thoughtfulness and love.

I'm excited that the Fairy Godmother Swap has begun. Doubly excited that I was chosen as the first Cinderella. But then the realization set in....the Fairy Godmothers have my wishlist, and I don't want to spoil their spellcasting, which means that this month I have to behave myself and stay away from the stores.

Perhaps a lesson learned for future Cinderellas, save at least a few things from your wishlist so you don't go into retail withdrawal during your month.

Oh my gosh, today I was told I've been selected as the August Cinderella for a scrappy swap group. Its exciting but also a bit intimidating for me. I'm still really new to scrapping. For example, I walked into Archivers for the first time this past week, took two steps in the door and stopped dead in my tracks, I was so overwhelmed. I was tired from a really long day at work today to find boxes on the front porch. My Cricut arrived almost a week early. I got it out of the box, and made sure all the pieces are there. But won't really get a chance to play with it till Thursday, cuz I have the conference and an office picnic tomorrow night. Now I can't wait till Thursday.
