*got 2 round trip tickets for giving up our seats and going on another flight to Puerto Vallarta.
*thought we were pretty cool ... little did we know... that we would definitely be 'paying' for those tickets.
*had a 7 hour (not overexaggerating) layover in Mexico City. lovely.
*arrived in Puerto Vallarta our luggage was NOT THERE.
*tried to make the 'best' of the situation.
*decide to wash clothes in bathtub and wear same outfits. (spend money on swimming suits, deodorant, 1 toothbrush, food and booze) :)
*drying clothes on our 9th floor patio turns out to be not such a good idea, the wind decided to take boxers and 1 sock.
*Boyd suffers from 'chaffing' because of wearing his shorts without boxers.
:( sorry sweety!
*Our luggage arrives 2.5 days later! hooray!
* took picture of bell boy with luggage, took picture of Boyd with luggage.
*tour to Las Caletas--both very intoxicated...have a camera video to prove it. Boyd calls actors/dancers from the outdoor show "exotic dancers".. not the best choice of words... a large red crab (straight out of the little mermaid) decides to join us for dinner, i spill red wine all over boyd's 'upper jeans area'. Believe it or not, have a video of that too.
* get lost traveling to Boca de Tomatlan to go to some restaurant that was already closed :(
* buses in Mexico are scary/ but cheap!! :)
*sweat ALOT, got lots of random weird undescribable bug bites.
*spoke a lot of fake spanglish ?!?!?!>!? hey we tried...
*planned our days around our meals. :)
* tried out snorkeling. a little scary if you ask me. boyd saw the red striped snake and sting ray! i only saw trumpet fish and the blue and yellow ones. :(
*repelled down waterfalls, went on zip lines, and hiked through the beautiful jalisco jungle.
*wandered through the streets of Puerto Vallarta.
*found our own way down the side of a hill (secret jungle stairs through some old houses) from a restaurant: palomar de las gonzalez
*met lots of very interesting people... or should i say 'characters'.
*experienced way too much to put in this blog... or that i can even mention.
* Most importantly... realized that i love travelling with Boyd. He is the greatest travel partner ever! we now have the travel bug, and want to go to a list of places before we introduce any little Harringtons into the world. We are starting to plan now, since we now have 2 tickets to use!!! :)
