Lots and lots of layouts, so I'll start there.
1. Family: Love, love, love it. Still one of my favorites. Took forever to get all those fibers around the pictures but I love this layout. And I love cutting titles.
2. Happy Thanksgiving. Another one that I'm really happy with. Even used to kinds of PP :-) And Brad just loves metal and so likes the bookplate :-)
3. Boys' Night In. Simple but perfect for what it was. Included 13 pennies since that's what you need to get in on a hand of Michigan rummy and used bits of a 10 of hearts card as photo corners.
4. Deck the Halls. Brad picked a sheet of PP for this (at my request). It was a sheet I'd never have picked so it was a bit of a 'handicap' in making the page. It's an OK page. Help from my critique group made it better.
5. Christmas Cards 2005: Very happy with this one and glad that our Christmas letter is preserved some place.
6. Think snow: It's blue so it'll never be one of my favorites but I am really happy with how it turned out. Love the embellishments. 1.49 for the set and they are *great* and I have 3 snowmen left for another layout. Will definitely stock up on these next time order from the place I ordered from.
7. Family Tradition: Wanted to use a Hannukah color and a Christmas color. Ended up going with teal and green and matting on red (a Cornell color - since the tradition started in our Cornell days). All the colors are pulled right from the BG blitzen paper but they may be a bit much ;-) I think the title needs some work - lots of empty space up there - but I'm very happy with the brads and inking I did on it.
Now at 41.5 layouts for the year. That's 17% of my goal of 240. And the year is 18% over.
So... shopping.... oy. NOT sticking to my budget. So seriously in the hole right now. MUST STOP BUYING. Or pray for gift cards and checks for my birthday (which isn't something I usually get so I'm not counting on it!). My bazzill is here and beautiful! I also ordered 1 of each monochromatic set from DCWV through a big sale. Between those 2 stashes, I should be set for a while aside from restocking my bazzill. I think I'll only do that 1x a month and then use the DCWV and other stuff if I don't have the Bazzill color I'm after. I also got my other online order and have been enjoying those goodies. And I hit both JoAnn's and Michael's brick and mortar stores. Lots and lots of shopping. Thank God DH supports this habit (finacially and otherwise).
Oh... speaking of DH..... he cleaned his desk and gave it to me for scrapping. You have to understand... this desk has been heaped with cr** ever since we moved in 3 years ago. And he cleaned it off and gave it to me! That means he has no where to toss stuff. That means I have 2x the scrapping space *and* this whole alcove to myself. OMG... I can't express how good it feels to not have that horrendous 'situation' cluttering and creating a chaotic environment just off our bedroom. And to have him give it to me for scrapping? Wow! I am the luckiest wife!
And one more thing I want to record - I'm finally going to start albums for the kids! 12x12 albums so they are 'different' and nothing as ambitious as I'd have done if I'd been scrapping from the beginning. 1 2-pg layout per month, with a consistent layout. Goal - 2 layouts per kid per month - a current one and a 'past' one.
