Today BasicGrey would like to introduce you to this month’s FEATURED DESIGNER!
It with great excitement we introduce you to, Jill Deiling, known at Scrapbook.com as jilliand!
It was THIS gorgeous layout, Favorite Things, that really caught our eye. We love Jill’s use of our fun and whimsical Lemonade line, especially the rows and rows of gorgeous scallops she has at the bottom. What a great texture she created using that technique!
Thank you so much to Jill for letting us showcase her beautiful layout and while we’re sharing, here’s just a little bit more about her:
How did you start scrapbooking?
I started scrapbooking in high school, the summer before my senior year. I went over to my friend’s house one day and she started showing me her scrapbooks. She only used construction paper, glittery stickers and cut out patterns from magazines. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I started scrapbooking right then and have never stopped since!
How long have you been a member at Scrapbook.com and what's your favorite part about being a neighbor?
I have been a member at Scrapbook.com for five years. I really don't think I could pick ONE favorite part about being a neighbor, there are so many things I love about it! I love all the amazing friends I have made all over the world. There are so many crazy talented ladies (plus a few guys) on this website, they are all such an inspiration! I love chatting with my friends every day, and browsing the galleries looking at everyone's amazing work.
What made you choose BasicGrey for this particular layout?
I choose BasicGrey for this layout because it's probably my favorite line BasicGrey has ever come out with. The patterns are beautiful and include all of my favorite colors, pink, green and teal! I just had to make a layout about my "favorite things" using my new favorite BasicGrey papers. with my black and white photos of my daughter acting silly. The colors are happy and fit the mood of my photos.
What do you consider your favorite BasicGrey layout?
My favorite would have to be this one:

I used the Lemonade line on this one again as well. I had so much fun cutting out all of the pretty intricate flowers!
