School is back in session   (4 comments, 14 views) Wednesday, 03 September 2008
The boys are back in school and they are happy.  Mama is happy. Dad is happy. Even the dog is happy.  The house is quiet and I love it.   I don't know what to do 1st.  I have a ton of things to get done yet I can't get started on any of them.  I'll pick on thing and work on it.   I don't know yet if I will be going back to work at school since there was a huge budget cut. It would be nice if I could to save some money for Christmas. I do have  lots of classes lined up at our LSS, so that will help.   We had a wonderful time at the beach this past week. We had 2 1/2 days of pure sunshine and I got burnt.  My DH and sat in our chairs in the sunshine facing the waves and read a book. Our boys sat at the table creating something war-like with their Legos. We had our best time yet. We did have a HUGE storm hit in the middle of the night and had to take the awning down at 1:00 am.  I thought we were going to rock over but we stayed safe. I felt so sorry for the families in tents. I'm sure they were scared as they were gone in the very early morning. It rained the rest of the time but that didn't stop us walking on the beach.  We gathered 60 some sand dollars and lots a agates. We listened to old time radio shows, one of our favorite things to do when it rains.  We all read books and just rested.  I'm ready to go back again.   Yesterday was our youngest DS BD and he turned 9. He was so happy since it was the 1st day of school to celebrate his BD with his friends.   Take care everyone and chat soon!

 
Oooh! I'm so jealous of the quiet house!! Your days at the beach sound wonderful.

Sorry about the sunburn. Hope it leads to a nice tan! You did what I love to do at the beach...read! I love to sit under an umbrella with my book and listen to the waves!

Sounds like you had a really great time! I am so glad you got to get away for awhile. I love old radio shows. I like to listen to them and clean house. I wish you luck, my friend, on your job. I hope it works out for you. I signed up to sell Stampin-Up! I just want to make enough to feed my habit!
