Project One with Lisa Day...   (1 comment, 118 views) Tuesday, 17 March 2009

LisaDay_Coasters_Front

It is finally getting warmer here in Michigan and we are starting to think about outdoor spring projects. The first thing we want to do is to put up a gazebo, because where we live we have no shade what so ever. I picture this gazebo being very welcoming and relaxed and colorful. I want to have cute chairs and some tables to set our cool lemonade on as we watch the kids run around the yard. When I saw the cute Adornit Stickers. I knew I want to use them in something for our new gazebo. I had these leftover tiles that I new would work perfectly for outdoor coasters and they'd be even better with these stickers on it. The stickers went on awesomely. So awesomely, that I have to warn you if you choose to create coasters like this, make sure you are putting the sticker down exactly where you really want it, because you won't be able to move it since it adheres so well. To make the coasters weather proof I added a few layers of Modge Podge on top to seal them. I tested them out yesterday and they held up beautifully! To prevent scratching over our future tables I added little felt feet to the back of the coasters.
