treat box - idea for halloween   (7 comments, 232 views) Thursday, 11 October 2007
Our designer, Danielle Calhoun shared with us one of her favorite gift giving ideas - treat boxes. dctreat_box_one_320

Step 1 Start with small gift box. Begin by choosing a few of your favorite Adornit papers from the Halloween collection.
Step 2 Measure the patterned paper to fit on the sides of your box (I usually measure them a tad big, so I can cut them later).
Step 3 tart with one side of your box, and cover it with adhesive (for projects like this I like to use Mod Podge). Continue until all sides of box and top are covered with patterned papers.
Step 4 Go back over your box and cut off edges that are too big, and then sand all of the edges.
Step 5 I finished my edges with some ink.
Step 6 Choose the "Happy Halloween" sticker from your Adornit Hallowen sticker page. I used pop dots to give the sticker a 3-d look, and put it right on top of the lid of the box.
Step 7 Lastly, I added my favorite black, Adornit ribbon and adhered it to the front of my box. The perfect box for a Halloween treat!
Adornit Supplies:
21779 Screaming Dots
21773 Halloween Dots
21777 Pumpkin Pile
93082 Happy Halloween Cardstock Sticker
58823 Polka Black Ribbon
