Did you know that June 21st was the longest day of the year and the first official day of summer? It was raining and storming where I live . . . not very summer like I would say. I did my best to bring the spirit of summer to my home by scrapping a few pictures from our recent trip to the beach. We try to make the three-hour trip to the coast at least once per summer so we can all get our beach fix.
We all have our favorite things to do while at the beach. I could walk up and down the shore for hours on end searching for shells, interesting rocks, driftwood and bits of sea glass. My son love to build sandcastles. It’s almost an obsession with him. My husband does his best to accommodate both of us, by hunting for treasures with me and digging the moat for castle after castle.
This trip was no different. I found some pretty cool shells and my son built three pretty amazing castles (one for each beach we visited).
Barb Tourtillotte’s “By the Seashore” collection together with the bare elements Desiree Frame by Creative Imaginations were my choices for this picture. I just love the subtle beach words printed on the paper and the realistic looking cardstock shell stickers.
I hope you had a great "longest day of the year" and your summer is everything you hope it to be.
