Scraproom Challenge   (8 comments, 149 views) Monday, 31 December 2007
It’s New Years so it’s time to clean!!!

This will be the first challenge I’ve hosted so please bear with me. I’ve been in 3 scraproom challenges that have helped me get my area moved, cleaned up and organized. I don’t know if it was the monthly “get it done” mini challenges, the cheering each other on, or a combination of both that helped me so much to get back on track and having fun, but what ever it was I got it done with the help of great friends from here.

Many participants had small spaces, many moved into huge rooms, but we all had fun and learned a lot about neat storage solutions that can be made, or purchased.

If you are interested go ahead and sign up on this thread and post what you would like to accomplish in your personal space. Get your camera ready and take before pictures, meaning pictures before you clean, then set up a scraproom challenge album in the gallery. At the end of the challenge all who have participated will vote for: Grand Prize: Most improved space. Most creative ideas. Most helpful. There will also be little random prizes given here and there.

Prize packages: I’ve discovered that I’ve purchased many duplicates of K & Co paper packs, (I love that paper), but will never use up the amount I have. I also kinda went crazy buying ribbon, flowers, and embellies I’ll never use. I also have way too many chipboard books, who knows what else I’ll find. Anyway they are all new just waiting for some creative hands. Or if you win you can choose a $20.00 gift certificate from sb.com that I’ll send thru sb.com . I will post prize packages at the end of my purging so you can choose. So what do you have to lose but a messy cluttered space?

Here is an idea of what I’m planning on doing to my space to give you an idea:

1. Move everything out of scraproom. Purge as I go.
2. Move my granddaughters’ beds and things out of the larger spare room in to the smaller room that is my scraproom now.
3. Paint or wallpaper new scraproom.
4. Move in furniture and purchase new furniture.
5. Bring in and organize all my goodies.
6. Have fun!

We are all busy people and some of us will finish before others so I’ve set up some rules to make it fair for those of us who take longer than others.

1. The challenge will last for three months.
2. You will need to check in around the first of the month for that months challenge and cheer the rest of us on.
3. You will need to check in at least once a week and fill us in on your progress and cheer the rest of us on.
4. You will need to post pictures at the end of each month to show your progress and cheer the rest of us on.
5. Cut off date for sign-ups will be January 15th, with first months challenge posted January 2nd. End date for the challenge will be April 15th. You will cast your votes by sending a PM to a judge who will not be participating in the challenge No later April 20th. The judge will announce the winner on April 22nd. So not only will it be a surprise to you it will be to me too! No one will know who the judge is until voting time.
6. And last but not least we really need to cheer each other on as we go along.

Sign-up's close January 15, 2008.

That sounds good Janet!
I think that's where we met isn't it?
