I have to confess and say that I don't blog here much at all. Mainly because I have our own blog on the web (see the link in my bio :) ). Ty went back today. The kids and I dropped him off at Dulles Airport and I did find it amazingly easier than the last time. Today I am thankful for technology. 16 years ago, Ty was serving in the U.S. Army in Operation Desert Storm. He spent six months of his life there (his tour was abruptly ended by the sudden death of his father here in the states), and in all of the six months he was there, he was able to call home one time. Today I am thankful for reciprocity. My mom works at Curves and made it vividly clear when she called me this evening that she had nothing to do with what she was about to say. Her boss approached her earlier today, from what I understand, and told her that Curves, the employees and members, are doing a food drive in honor of me and my kids so we have groceries for the month of October and they would also like to pay for my fuel bill in case I need heat.
