Well..finally got around to sitting down with DD to teach her to scrap again. We lost all of her pictures a week ago when my PC crashed, so we had to use some of mine. Because the clothes in the pic were black and white, but the pics were of cheerleading, I told her it would be OK to go with any color, not just black and white. I showed her how to pick a main pp that she wanted to work with, then decide if she wanted to match other pp with it or just do plain cardstock. She chose one PP and glitter mat stacks for mats. I taught her how to use my guillotine paper cutter to trim off the edges of the picture, then to use my ATG gun in order to put the mats on. I showed her how to "eyeball" two edges for the size of mat she wanted, then trim the other two sides to match. We only got to placement of the pics tonight, as she was getting very sleepy.
I absolutely love teaching my DD to scrap. I know that for the rest of our lives, it is something that will bring us together and bond us. She has such an enthusiasm for it...and she knows EXACTLY what she likes and what she does not!!! Seeing the excitement she feels, makes my own desire and excitement swell up!!
I don't always want to share my supplies...you know the "possessive scrapper," but if I have to share them with someone, then there is no one else I'd rather share with.
