I have also helped start my great niece in scrapbooking. She has always loved to do the cut and paste crafts and her mom does some scrapbooking so it was a natural progression. She was at our house one evening and wanted to "help" so I dug out a 6 x 6 album out of my closet, armed her with adhesive, lots of scrap paper at her full disposal, and starting cleaning out things like stickers, stamps, and ribbons that I knew I wouldn't use. I even bought her an X xyron and refills for Christmas so she could make her own stickers. I helped her with one or two pages and she took it from there. She asks questions sometimes about colors or embellishments and is becoming quite the scrapper. I taught her how much from torn paper can be since her "kiddie" scissors don't always work the best.
She may be only 5 but I'm sure I'll have a scrapping buddy for many years if she keeps going at this pace.
