It is a lot of work but so worth it in the end. Where do I find the time? It's called living a boring life.
DH does a lot of the gardening. We plant together and try to keep it up together but he gets done with work much earlier so that's a good job for him.
Then you have to be willing to have a few weeks of only being able to surface clean and keep up with the laundry.
But the way I look at it is that I have at least $800 of pickles in the pantry that maybe cost $50 to make (not including jars which have been in the family for years) AND they taste soooooo much better than store bought (IMO)
