Thanks for links about the ball. One of them took to the actual order of 1921! I think with the history, quotes, and other things, I should have enough for my filler pages. I also found the NCO Creed and the Rifleman's Creed to use with DH's awards.

The vellum turned out fine. I left it in the printer tray while I excerised my horses. It FINALLY dried! My circle cutter had some trouble cutting the vellum, I think it was too thin, but I made it work. I'll try to post a pic of that one tomorrow.

OH!!! DH went to boot with 5 other guys from our high school. They all finished boot within a couple weeks of each other. I made a double LO with both their high school pic and their formal boot camp pic for 4 of them (didn't find pics for the other 2). I also found the original notices in the local newspaper from their graduation. Now THAT is a funny LO!

I also found the congratulatory notes from our Congressman. He hand wrote notes to DH when he signed up, and when he graduated from boot. Does any Congressman still do that? Well, I'm sure Sen. McCain still does, but any one else?
