I make something similar with my Cricut and DS. So far I haven't used them on a lo - but they are interesting and pretty made out of lighter weight cardstock. I used George cart. and welded stars along with a couple of greetings like this: *words*words*words* and I like the effect.

Especially since I don't much like velvet's texture. I made them 2" tall and 12" wide and they are neat.
