While we don't have access to every graphics program out there - lottery tickets, anyone? - there are some resources available to help resize your layouts for the gallery.
As I'm able to get access to additional programs, I'll update the library and this document.
Directions for:
Irfanview - Free! Simply go to any search engine, and search for Irfanview.
Kodak Easy Share 4.0 - for most Kodak camera owners
Paint Shop Pro 9 - versions 7 & 8 are very close to this, as well.
Photoshop 6.0 or 8.0 CS
Picture It! v.7

Thanks a lot for this information, it worked great for me and I was not sure how to go about resizing my pics from my KodacShare.... But it was really easy and worked great.... I got to upload some pics of my paintings, but I can't wait to upload my first LO's. I need to get the photograhed and then up they'll come. I hope everyone that is having any problems with this finds this post because it was a great help to me! Thanks Megan

Megan,
HELP! I'm resizing in HP PHoto & Imaging and when I take it down to 75 in resolution I then have to decrease the image size to 2.3" for it to be 100K. Does this sound right to you? I'm trying to submit for a contest and the lo just looks so small, I'm not sure if they will be able to see it.
Thanks,
Melita

It can be larger than 100k for the gallery here. It can't be more than 1000 pixels by 1000 pixels.
I'm not familiar with that program, so I can't give you specific directions.

Just FYI, but Irfanview is not free. You have to join their "club" in order to download it for free.

No, you don't? I just downloaded it again to be sure.
http://www.irfanview.com/
Go to Download. This will bring up a list of sites. I usually choose download.com, and this will bring up yet another window.
Click on Download from the new window, and save the file.

Megan,
I followed these instructions in the Kodak program and if u resize to fit the web as stated then the photos come out too pixelated so I tried resizing in the Kodak program to 50% and the photos come out more clear and less pixelated and the photo is still within the size limits.

Thanks - what version of the program are you using, and I'll add a note to the directions?
