....drops in with six pack of Cranberry Sierra Mist and a plate of chocolate mint brownies....

I will not be in on Friday or Saturday, as I will be at the Women of Faith conference in Sacramento. I am sooo totally jazzed about that. Right now I'm working on Christmas cards...

Hi girls.... We need prayers for our girl Ria, she's been MIA for a bit and we need to let her know that she's safe here, a safe place to vent, and that we love her and miss her...

Hi girls! I know I worried most of you over the past week and I'm sorry. I had some things come up and never made it home from work Tuesday night.

My manager had taken me home and we got almost there when she got pulled over. Her back license plate had been stolen so she took the one from the front and put it in the back window. Cop was bored I think so she ran my friend's ID and the cop and I both found out my friend was driving on a suspended license. So then the cop ran MY ID and found I had two warrants for unpaid traffic fines. Piddly stuff if you ask me, but they still took me in.

I spent a week in jail and just got home late this afternoon. I had no access to my phone or anything. Jail is NOT a fun place to be, let me tell you that. I had never been before. I also do not recommend jail food as a weight loss plan, IMO that borders on starvation because so little of it is edible.

I was shuffled around for eight days. Tuesday night I spent in Lee's Summit's jail. I was transferred to ICC the next afternoon, which is about 45 minutes from LS. I spent five days there and took care of one fine and was transferred BACK to Lee's Summit. When you're incarcerated at ICC, for every day you're there you get $50 applied to your fine; five days later I had taken care of my highest fine.

12 hours after I arrived in LS I was extradited to Kansas City to take care of a seven-year-old fine. I spent 24 hours in Kansas City's jail before being sent a couple of blocks away to county lockup. I spent 24 hours there before seeing the judge and finally being released late this afternoon.

When I got my phone back I had countless texts and twelve voicemails from some very worried friends, including a few of you. But I'm back now and I have no intention of EVER going back. Lesson learned: pay all traffic fines. ALL traffic fines. I called my mom and told her I knew she and Dad wouldn't bail me out and I needed to learn a lesson. I did ask her to help Jeremy with the kids, and she and Jeremy's grandfather swooped in Friday after school and each took a child so I didn't have to worry about Jeremy trying to juggle work and the kids. His mom works weekends, too, but my parents and his grandpa are all retired.

However, my stuff was piddly compared to what others in the jail were there for. And to be honest, the Kansas City cop saw my KC fine, saw how little it was, and laughed. Unfortunately in KC even if you pay your fines in full and get out of jail you STILL have to return to court within the next day or two to see the judge, so it made no sense to me to get out. I had hoped that since I served the two extra days in jail the judge would write it off as "time served," but he didn't. So I still have a fine to pay but it's the smaller one and I have until the first of February to pay it.

Food in all places was lousy, it was definitely NOT my cooking. I don't recommend it as a weight-loss plan. In ICC it was barely edible and I did good to manage a full meal a day each day, just eating what I could palate. Lee's Summit's was better, Banquet TV dinners. KC's was bologne sandwiches. County lockup we got a lot of sack lunches because we arrived after lunch and weren't processed to go into the actual women's jail until after dinner. (I say "we" because there were three other women with me.) When we were sent to court at 8am (for our 9am dockets) we were given our sack LUNCHES. Yeah LUNCHES. They drag you out of bed at 4:30am for breakfast. I didn't want to get into trouble for skipping meals so I got up and picked at breakfast. Lunch was 10:30, dinner at 3:30. Seriously.

Hey Babe! Yeah 4:30am breakfast. I was a model prisoner, though. And got up and picked at breakfast. I think that I needed drink more than food. I'm always thirsty. Whenever we had Kool-Aid with lunch or dinner I went back for fourths and fifths on the drink. I drink a LOT on a normal basis. The coffee was NOT coffee. Not by my standards. I've been spoiled by McD's and Starbucks coffee. I know they are scarily alike because they both use Seattle's Best coffee beans. But still. I missed Diet Coke most. Oh boy did I miss it.

Thanks Debbie!

Yeah, Babe, if your scanner is HP like mine, you should have a stitching program built in to the Photosmart software. You'll have to let it crop 1/4" off the top or bottom, but it'll work. I can walk you through it, but tomorrow I'm going to bed in my own bed right now.

I think it's been six years. Lizzie is 6 and we met not long before she got her black eye. (Jory had been fooling around with the seatbelt in the backseat of the Ford Escort I'd had and the buckle flew out of his hand and smacked "Lizzie the Ladybug" in the eye. I did scrap that. BOY he felt awful that he'd hurt his baby sister! Poor little guy!)

Liz is getting more advanced because I have been introducing her to the wonder that is Timmy, taught her in the blingy ways, and got her a Cricute Create last year for Christmas/her birthday (they're two weeks apart).
