I'm a Brissie girl but am currently in Melbourne and am moving to Cairns late next month (fiancee is in the Navy LOL!).

I can't think of anywhere an hour from Brisbane that could be considered to be "country" :-). My parents live near Caboolture - outer northern suburbs. We've been in Cairns since just before Easter.
