I know this really isn't a scrapbook question... but the baby food jars I found at the junk store are older ones.. and where the label used to be, you can see it's off now and all thats left is the sticky stuff that has now turned hard... Does anyone have any idea how to get this off???

Thanks in advance!!!

you can try goo gone. you can also try boiling the glass jars and scraping the glue off after it gets a little melty.

you might be able to get it off with nail polish remover!

Un-du is the best!

I've used it to remove stubborn price stickers from glass.

The thick glue you are talking about will come off in boiling water. it has to be softened first.

I have used boiling water on mine, and a rag with a little bit of oil (any kind) will remove any sticky residue that's still there! Trust me...I had to make 60 baby food jar candles for my dil's baby shower last year!!!

What do you all do with baby food jars? I saved a ton but never came up with anything to use them for other than storing beads. The candle idea is great, but I'm not into making candles.

I think just soaking them in hot water & rubbing them with a little soap should work. Try removing the rest with alcohol.

I know you got them clean but WD 40 would work also
