I have my cardstock separated by color, my patterned paper by color and/or theme (Halloween, Christmas, etc..), but what about coordinating papers that also have chipboard pieces embellishments, etc.? Shouldn't I keep those together? I'm afraid I'll forget what embellishments I have if I don't keep the sets together. Then how do I store those sets? Please help??!! I'm very organized, but sometimes I have trouble coming up with the best plan!

If they are part of a kit, I usually keep them together. I either hang them or keep them in a divided Cropper Hopper.

Often times, I'll even add other papers & products to the kit.

Only once I'm down to a few pages/items & have used up the majority of the kit, will I then take the rest & put them away (by pp, color, product, etc!)

Hope That Helps!

I'm in the minority - I always break up my kits. With the chipboard/alphas that come with the kits, I just store them in their own little space... in this case, one of my Cropper Hopper divisions. I just browse through there when I'm making a LO just to make sure I don't have anything there that would go. But, then, I'm very "hands on" with my supplies!

- If space is an issue, you could write down or take a pic of your kits, prior to taking them apart.

- You could also just scrap remembering to think about that particular line (as long as it's all from the same line, that is).

- Lastly, I think having a checklist/guide of what type of items you often use page-to-page might prove to be extra helpful. Sort of thinking of it as a page kit recipe.

For example...

Paper = check!
Chipboard = check!
Ribbon = check!
Stamps = check!
Flowers, Bling, Brads...
Etc, etc & as whatever particular products or techniques apply.

I keep my paper lines and acessories together as well. There are a variety of ways to do this. I happen to you page kit organizers by CH too.

Check out what Simply Renee is coming out with. you could hang your paper and then hang the embellies right beside it.

Here's the link to their blog:

Yup, this is what I do. I find pieces of kits are awesome on other things too.

I'm also very hands on. I will pile through my embellishments, alphas and other things to gather what I think might work before I start a project.

But then again, I don't own TONS of stuff either. I just rotate swiftly through stuff.

I like to keep all my paper lines together generally but other stuff like chipboard alphas and ribbons I sort differently.

I break them up also. I don't like things to be too predictably matched, so I cross lines all the time... I work by color and theme, so this works for me.

Good ideas ladies. I keep mine together or I would totally forget about the other parts to the kit!!!
