I'm working on an altered art home decor project, and have used some Art Institute glue and glitter. But Does anyone have any tips for how to keep glitter in place once you've adhered it? Is there, like, a sealant spray or an extra fixative you recommend I spray on the piece? I would like the glitter to stay put, and not brush off.

Thanks for any advice you can give?

Glossy accents or diamond glaze all work nice over it.

Also when you apply it be sure to push it in to the adhesive.

Glitter = BAD!

I'm very anti-glitter! It's so messy! Hope you get it to stay put.

Pinterest has a ton of glitter things tips. I have seen pins suggesting modgepodge, acrylic spray and clear nailpolish. I haven't tried it though.

You can also use Smooch Spritz- it seals in whatever you put it on. The vanilla shimmer is mostly clear with a pearlescent shine that lets the glitter keep it's own color.

how do you keep your smooch spritz unclogged? I had to put mine in a different spray bottle. It clogged before I sprayed 3 pieces. It is very pretty when it works right.
