What type of ink and ink pads can I use on Hampton Art Clear Stamps? I know that I can't use Stazon Ink.

Need help!

Why can't you use Stazon?

Clear stamps can be a bit tempermental, you might just need to test different inks on them. If the ink beads up, try rubbing the stamp surface with an eraser to get off any residue.

I like Memento and Versamark inks.

On the back of the HamptonArt stamps package. It has Hampton Art Tips

Solvent-based inks are not recommended for use with the product.

I only have a few ink pads.

Memento tuxedo black
Memento rich cocoa
Archival Ink jet black
Versafine deep lagoon
Versafine toffee
Versafine olympia green
Tim Holtz Distree Inks only 7 colours
Color Box Classic Pigment Cat's Eye's 36 colours

and one VersaMark watermark stamp.

I have used the Memento ink and Color Box, but not the Stazon yet. I do know that Stazon is great for rubber stamps.
I stamped with the Memento ink and later I colored with Aqua Colour Pens and it was perfect. The Memento ink didn't bleed.
I have been looking up information on ink pads for some time.
But I'm going to try what you suggest. I love these stamps from Hampton Arts, just don't want to mess them up.

It would be helpful if these Stamp Manufactures state what type of ink or inks work the best for their product. This would help alot for the beginner stamper.

Thank You..
