I have read that you can make your own 12x12 embossing folders. Is this true and if it is how would one go about making your own embossing folders?

I know you can make your own regular sized folders... probably how to tutorials on youtube but I don't think it is possible to make custom dies.

For a custom die you'd have to go with an electronic machine and design your shape in the software. Which is actually pretty easy if you're mildly computer savvy. It wouldn't be an actual die, of course, but a cutting file - but it would accomplish the same thing

Ok. I have two questions.. 1. If I were to buy an electronic machine which in do I go for baring in mind that all the paper I use is A3 and 300gsm thick? 2. If I buy the big shot pro and would like a custom die made what are the dies made from maybe I can have them made in my own country instead of having them made overseas?
